your love fills my heart

I played with a few more of the items I picked up at Archivers yesterday and created this card.

I used papers by Dear Lizzy from the "neapolitan" collection, sentiment is a Technique Tuesday stamp by Ali Edwards. I created the flower by cutting a square and then rolling it to form the flower, leaves are Spellbinders "foliage" dies and the butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch.

I used CPS sketch 136 for my inspiration on the card.

Thanks for stopping by to look, your comments are welcome and appreciated.

what's up

I went to Archivers yesterday looking for the new My Minds Eye papers and came home with everything but those.

I picked up the Echo Park "boy's life" papers and used them on my card today.

I pulled out one of the images I got in an image swap along with stamps by PTI and MME.

I used the Karen Giron's sketch over at Sweet Sunday for my inspiration on this card.

Thanks for stopping by to look and as always your comments are appreciated.
Enjoy!

xo

A quick card for you today before I get busy and run some errands.

Paige is looking for cards with at least 6 hearts on them.

I knew as soon as I saw her challenge I had to play along. I had just bought some new thickers alphas and Martha Stewart Valentine tapes and my heart dies from PTI just arrived a few days ago.

I think I have at least 6 hearts on this card. *wink*

I Choose...

I am enjoying my new Authentique paper so much that I just had to make another card using it.

Notice I even pulled out the sewing machine and did some stitching on this card. I might try and use it more often so I can practice sewing straight.

I used the sketch over at Clean and Simple for my inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by to visit.
Enjoy!

hello

I was Skyping with my friend Michelle last night and we worked on a card for the newest challenge over at My Favorite Things.

I used my newest paper purchase which is Authentique's "gathering", MFT rolled rose, doily, and flourish.  I absolutely love the colors in this collection.

Here is the sketch that inspired my card.

Thanks for stopping by to look.
Enjoy!

plant a seed...

My kraft challenge with Amy was so much fun, I just had to make one last card.

I used papers and embellishments from the random collection by Crate Paper, sentiment is PTI and pearls are from my stash.

Here is this weeks sketch challenge by CPS that I used for the inspiration in making this card.

Thanks for stopping by this week to see my cards using Kraft as my card base. Now that I know there are other colors besides white you just might see some kraft card bases in the future.

joy

I am really enjoying making a weekly Christmas card or two, knowing that by the end of this year I should have a nice stash.

Normally I would of put my colored image on top of a white card base, but because of my friendly challenge with Amy I am using Kraft.

The challenge this week over at Christmas Card Challenges is "coloring".

Enjoy!

kraft the new white (cont.)

My friendly challenge with my friend Amy continues today and I have a card that normally I would of put on a natural white base, but because of the challenge I am using a kraft card base.

I created this card using the Merry Monday Challenge #4 sketch. I used papers by Echo Park from the "seasons greetings" collection, the felt embellishment is Basic Grey, and sentiment is from my stash.

Here is the sketch that I used for my inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by to look ~ I appreciate your visits and those of you that leave comments.

kraft and not so krafty

I am still doing my friendly card challenge with my friend Amy, where she is now using white as her card base and I am using kraft.

I must admit it is not as bad as I thought it would be and might have to agree with her that kraft almost goes with everything.

This card I created using crate paper and chipboard from the "random" collection by crate paper and some rub-ons from my stash.

I used the sketch this week over at Clean and Simple Stamping for my inspiration.

Now I love the challenges over at CAS-ual Fridays and this weeks challenge was one of my all time favorites. So I had to play along even if it meant bending the rules of my friendly challenge with Amy.

I apologize for the photo, I could not get a good photo of my card this morning. I do love a black and white card.

The "Penguin Suit" challenge this week was to use ONLY black and white on your card, NO other colors were allowed.

Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate your comments.

kraft challenge

I have another card for you today that I made for the friendly challenge that Amy and I are doing this week.

After making this card I realized why I don't stamp that often.

I used my new PTI stamp set "rosie posie" along with EAD stickerz and button and twine from my stash.

For inspiration I used this weeks sketch over at Freshly Made.

Thanks for stopping by to look.

kraft day two

I have another card for you today using a Kraft card base instead of my usual white one. My friend Amy and I are doing a friendly little switch, she is using white and I am using kraft.

I used more of my Crate Paper "random" papers and chipboard for my card along with some lace from my stash.

I used the Sasya's Sketches bonus sketch for my inspiration.

Stop back tomorrow to see my 3rd card using a Kraft card base.
Enjoy!

for you

Have you ever noticed that I use white for almost all the cards and layouts that I create and post on my blog?

Well starting today that has changed. From now until next Thursday I will only use Kraft card stock for my cards and layouts.

I used papers and chipboard by Crate Paper from the "farmhouse" collection, ribbon is from my stash and the stickers are October Afternoon.

I got the inspiration for my card layout from this weeks sketch over at Mojo Monday.

Now stop over at my friend Amy's blog as she has decided to join me this week. Amy will be giving up her obsession with Kraft card stock and only use white until next Friday.

If you tend to use only one color when you create why don't you join Amy and me and play along. Leave a comment and let me us know and we will stop over and check in on you.

Enjoy!

xoxo

I saw this fun sketch while blurfing a few days ago, but forgot to write down who did the sketch.

Now when I go back to find the sketch and give the proper credit I find out it is an October Afternoon sketch. Oh well guess I will have to make another card so I can submit it to them.

In the meantime I hope you enjoy my card. I used PTI "simple valentine" papers, OA "market stickers" and Spellbinders Nestabilities for the heart.

Thanks for stopping by.

It's beginning to look like...

I am going to try and get a head start on next years cards by doing the weekly challenges over at the Christmas Card Challenge.

This weeks challenge #7 is all about Flourishes.

I pulled out my 6x6 Echo Park papers and chipboard along with a pearl flourish by ZVA and my favorite Martha Stewart scallop border punch to create this easy card.

Thanks for stopping.
Enjoy!

train ride

I feel like I am losing a friend this week, Sketchy Thursday announced that they would be shutting down after this weeks sketch.

I have enjoyed doing their sketches as well as looking at all the weekly inspiration that the design team/teams have provided over the past 3 years.

I apologize for the bad picture today it is grey and dreary outside which means the house is darker than normal.

Here is the sketch that inspired my layout.

Just for fun I may do some of the older sketches that I have not done before so I won't miss them as much.

Thanks for stopping by and looking.

hello

I spent yesterday working on cards and I have one to share with you that I made for this weeks challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays.

The challenge this week was to create a clean and simple card with scallops.

I used my Martha Stewart scallop punch to create multiple layers, a couple of leaves from my Spellbinders "foilage" set, a handmade silk flower and doily from my stash.

I think flowers have to be my absolute favorite way to add a nice clean and simple touch to a card.

Thanks for stopping by to look and as always I love reading your comments.
Enjoy!

I was doing some blurfing last night and came across today's challenge over at 365 Cards for day 316 and decided to play along.

Today's challenge was a recipe to use the following on your card:

4.25x5.5 card
stripes
stickers (any amount)
stamped sentiment
1 additional embellishment of your choosing

I used the following:

4.25x5x5 white linen card
embossing folder with stripes
xoxo (pti) stamped sentiment
love and heart stickers by srm
maya road lace

I think I got everything that was needed for this recipe.

Okay I am going to MIA for a few days as I am going down to watch Micah for a couple days.

Be back soon!

grow

I am trying to slowly work on getting some of my scrapbook layouts done and the sketch over at Sketchy Thursday this week was perfect for a photo of Cassie that I had sitting on my desk.

I have had these papers for awhile now and was glad that they worked with the photo I wanted to use. When I finished up the layout I decided it needed a little something more and I added the jute twine and the butterflies and now looking at it, I am not sure I like it.

What do you think?

Here is the layout that inspired my creativity today.

love is in the air

Slowly my mojo is returning and I think a lot of it has to do with some great sketches and current challenges out in blog land.

I created this card using my new "love me" papers by My Minds Eye.

I am entering this card in this weeks CAS-ual Fridays challenge which is to use chipboard.

I am also entering it into this weeks Clean and Simple sketch challenge.

Thanks for stopping by to look and leave your comments I appreciate them.

I am on a roll and have another card to share with you that I created today.

For my card I used BasicGrey "picadilly" papers along with a Unity and Hero Arts Stamp, Leaves are Spellbinders die and I made the rose.

I used the newest sketch by Karen Giron SSSC149 as my inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by to look.
Enjoy your Day!

finally

I am finally starting to feel as if my Mojo is returning and I can once again make a couple of cards.

All it took was some new paper, a good sketch and a good movie playing in the background.

I used papers from the My Minds Eye "love me" collection, along with a handmade flower, sentiment by KaiserCraft, PTI button and Spellbinders foilage dies.

My sketch inspiration came from CPS sketch 249.
