Engagement Pictures

This is my son Justin and his fiancee Melissa. They went and had some pictures done this past week.

I haven't scrapbooked or made cards in over a week, because I am so busy studying. I took my first test in over 30 years and got 17 out of 17. So far so good.

Micah's Announcement

I spent most of yesterday getting 30 birth announcements ready for my niece and her husband. I was originally going to use ribbon instead of paper for the band that goes around and then decided to go the cheaper route and just use this cute baby paper by KaiserCraft called Little Man. The stamp is one of those you buy at Michael's really cheap. I borrowed it from a friend since this was the same idea she used for her Grandson's announcement only she used ribbon instead of paper for the band. The inside is his photo and birth info.

Enjoy!

COPIC 101

I took my first Copic coloring class yesterday and have to admit although it was fun it was alot more work than I thought and now I understand what Tami Wood meant about practice, practice, practice. I need to get better at this.

Hope you enjoy and have a great day!

Introducing Micah

As promised here is a picture of my new great nephew Micah and his sister Cassie Jo. Isn't he just sweet?

Wednesday Ramblings

I am back from scrapbooking with my friends Bonnie, Jeanne and Judy. We had a good time and although I did not get alot accomplished I had a wonderful time. I worked on my Christmas book. I didn't actually put any pictures on a page, but I did get the base of the book started. I am doing a book like Ali Edwards did called 25 days of Christmas.

Also yesterday I became a great-aunt again. My niece Shannon and her husband became parents of a new baby boy. His name is Micah and he is oh so cute.

I will post a card or photo tomorrow so enjoy the day.

I am out of here

Just wanted to post a quick note that I will not be posting for a few days. I am going scrapbooking in Pine City with friends until Tuesday afternoon. Then I am heading to my niece Shannon's house as she and her husband will be having a new baby on Tuesday. I can't wait I am so excited. Shannon is like a daughter to me and it will be like getting a new grandkid.

Speaking of kids enjoy this picture of my favorite little girl Cassie Jo.

If you live in Minnesota get outside and enjoy this beautiful weather.

Card Club

The weather is supposed to be beautiful again here in Minnesota and I have card club this afternoon at Anchor Paper Express. We have a full class 20 students and these are the cards I will be teaching. We were supposed to come up with two ideas and then use different papers to make them the same but different. I think they turned out okay and hope that everyone enjoys making them.
The other single card is the one I made for my sister TerryLee's birthday. I took a photo of us 5 girls and copied it on my printer and then came up with a verse for the outside. The inside of the card says "Put your big girl panties on and deal with it". She should enjoy the card after she kills me. Luckily we live about 1500 miles from each other.

Have a Great Sunday!

Feels Like Springtime In Minnesota

I know it isn't SPRING yet, but it is sure starting to feel like it around here. It is already 45 degrees out and we are headed into the 50's today and 60's by Monday. All that nasty snow we got last week should be gone by Tuesday. Makes me want to go outside and work in the yard (not). That will have to wait a little longer.

Today I finished up my sister TerryLee's birthday card and will get that in the mail to her on Monday and then I need to finish up my card kits for Card Club tomorrow at Anchor Paper Express. Have a great day and I will be back soon.

Friday Card

I am so glad today is Friday that means only 3 more days before I am in Pine City scrapbooking with my friends, Bonnie, Jeanne and Judy. We will check in at 10 am on Monday and spend the night coming home on Tuesday. Not only is it a timem to be with friends it is a good time to get some of those projects done.

Todays card is really simple. I used my favorite Basic Grey paper and buttons along with a leftover flower with leaves (don't remember who they are by).

Hope you enjoy. Please feel free to leave comments I am starting to get lonely here.

Thank You

I want to thank everyone who came and looked at my blog and sent me an email or left a comment. Since the internet was down at my house the last 36 hours, I spent some time making cards and cleaning out old magazines. This is one of the many Thank You cards I made.

The paper is American Crafts and the buttons are from Basic Grey.

Hope you enjoy

Learning to Skate

This is a picture of my great niece Cassie who just learned how to skate in December. I do alot of scrapbooking for her and her mom and this is the newest page to go into one of her many books.

Card Club Preview

We have a card club that we do every month at the store I work at and this is one of the cards that we will be doing this Sunday. I am really into the vintage looking cards after taking a class that was designed by my friend Wendy. Although this card is not as great as hers were that we did, it is one of my favorites that I have done lately. I will try and post a picture of the scrapbook page I did yesterday later tonight when I get home from school. Tonight is my second Access class. (fun) :)

Day One

This is a new and very scary adventure for me. I love reading blogs and looking at what others have created and today after I finished my coffee and searched all the job sites looking for work, I decided it was time I too had my own blog.

I hope to have this be a place where I can share my journey as well as my card making and scrapbooking.

Please feel free to jump in and say hello and let me know what you think.
