Artist: The Illusion
Title: The Illusion

This album’s fantastic commercial potential is no illusion! Produced by Jeff Barry, it has a dynamic rock sound with songs that stick in the mind after just one listening. Every cut has a smash sound! The group’s single “Did You See Her Eyes” is featured in a lengthened version here. “I Love You, Yes I Do” and “Sweet Talkin’ Soul” are also standouts. (Jack Dominilla)

Title: Together (As A Way Of Life)
Year: 1969

This is some high quality blue eyed soul! Just as good as anything The Rascals or Rare Earth ever did. Most people only remember The Illusion’s one top 40 hit “Did You See Her Eyes” or they don’t remember them at all. This is psychedelic-tinged white soul at its highest. (SleepObsessed RYM)

THE ILLUSION - IF IT'S SO - 1970
The Illusion – If It’s So (1970)
Artist: The Illusion
Title: If It’s So
Year: 1970
Format: LP
Label: Steed
By some standards, the Illusion were one of the most successful unknown psychedelic bands of their generation — unknown, yes, but with three LPs to their credit on the Steed label. Their personnel included Michael Ricciardella (drums), Richie Cerniglia (guitar), Chuck Alder (bass), Mike Maniscalco (guitar, keyboards), and John Vinci (vocals).
The Steed label released “Illusion”, “Together”, and “If It’s So” between 1969 and 1970. Illusion was interesting enough to observers to merit a release in England in 1969. By 1971, the Illusion’s albums were being sought by kids who’d never heard the band play. (Bruce Eder, All Music Guide)Track Listing

BREAD - Original Album Series [5 CD Boxset]
Bread - Original Album Series [5 CD Boxset]
Bread was one of the most popular pop groups of the early '70s, earning a string of well-crafted, melodic soft rock singles, all of which were written by keyboardist/vocalist David Gates. A session musician and producer, Gates met in 1968 guitarist/vocalist James Griffin, who had already released a solo album called Summer Holiday. Griffin hired Gates to produce a new album, and the pair soon became a group, adding guitarist/vocalist Robb Royer from the band Pleasure Fair, who Gates had produced early in its career.
Bread released a total of five albums during their original lifetime, and these are all collected here. After a breakup, they did one additional reunion album, Lost Without Your Love, which was inferior to the original string, and which is not included.

THE BEATLES - The Beatles with Tony Sheridan: First Recordings 50th Anniversary Edition
The Beatles – The Beatles with Tony Sheridan: First Recordings 50th Anniversary Edition [2CD] (2011)
Two CD collection containing the first ever studio recordings by the Beatles, released to coincide with the 50th Anniversary of the original sessions. Released in one complete collection for the first time in North America, this compelling two CD collector’s set beautifully captures the moment in the lives of John Lennon, Paul McCartney and George Harrison right before they rocketed to international stardom. The earliest days of the Beatles have never been revisited in such detail and design. The set includes every recording they made for Polydor in 1961 and 1962. Multiple adaptations have been released throughout the past several decades – some in mono, some in stereo – each with distinctly different sounds. Most notably, the U.S. versions of these tracks were overdubbed…
…with another guitar player and drummer in an attempt to mirror the edgier sound the group had evolved into, unbeknownst to American fans at the time of their release in 1964. We’ve included all versions of every track, including mono and stereo mixes in this amazing collection showing the unmistakable sound of a new kind of band.

DEEP PURPLE - LIVE AT MONTREUX 2011
On July 16th, 2011, DEEP PURPLE performed on the closing night of Switzerland’s prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival by re-inventing their classic catalog with the help of a symphony orchestra. This night will forever be emblazoned upon the brains of Deep Purple fans around the world when Eagle Rock Entertainment releases Live At Montreux 2011 simultaneously in DVD, Blu-Ray and 2CD packages on November 8th. Such classics as 'Highway Star', 'Strange Kind of Woman', 'Lazy', 'Perfect Strangers', 'Hush', 'Woman From Tokyo', 'Black Night', 'Smoke On The Water' and 11 other gems, as performed with the orchestral sweep behind them, certainly spurred the band on. Ian Gillan (vocals), Ian Paice (drums), Roger Glover (bass), Steve Morse (guitar) and Don Airey (keyboards) can be seen visibly pleased with the results of the orchestra, as directed by Stephen “BK” Bentley-Klein.
This 115-minute concert is emblematic of the kind of shows that Deep Purple has been putting on with amazing consistency as they criss-cross the globe. It’s what their fans have come to expect. The current orchestra tour has proven them capable of transcending genre limitations to reach out for the kind of all-encompassing theatrical presentation that’s hard to forget.
