Oh, Country Road, how I love thee! I look forward to your collections like a toddler looks forward to Christmas morning. Whilst many of us north of the Equator begin to endure the long slog through winter, you've so kindly brought us warmth and sunshine via your cheerful and bright new collection for the Australian Spring Summer season. As always, I'm enamoured by your colourful offering, and feel like I've fallen especially hard this time around. You just had to throw in some striped bistro tableware to push me over the line into Interiors Shop Obsession, didn't you? If only I could be cross with you, but somehow each time I see your yellow stripe linens and graphic pillows, I can't help but smile and forgive you for burning a hole in my wallet!

A Seaside Themed Summer Party

As the mercury rises and the temperatures too, why not venture outside to create a little seaside in your backyard? It's a great time of year to invite your friends over and party all afternoon long under the heat of the summer sun. Even if you're not by the seaside you can recreate the look and feel of a nautical escape with the right buys. Start by creating a palette of red and blue hues as these colours alone are a nod to all things nautical. Next, mix in some anchor motifs and fish-shaped plates to really create that seaside feel. Pull the look together with strong pattern, perhaps in an outdoor rug laden with pillows or even a stripe parasol. Then all that's left to do is invite over your best friends and party 'till sundown! Country Road's Colourful Homewares

Country Road

Loving the upbeat and colourful nature of the new homewares over at Country Road. Sometimes keeping things simple makes for the best product: the simple, graphic stripe design of their Bistro tablewares is a case in point. I'm really tempted to order one of the waffle teatowels that come in an array of bright colour options, the only problem being I simply can't decide which colourway to choose! Anything catching your eye?
