Just Like Me Doll

Kaylee had an assignment this week to make this paper doll look like her. We had so much fun finding fabric that I made her skirt out of and even a flower clip. Kaylee loved it, and was so excited to wear her matching outfit to school today. It was a fun assignment!

I love the first day of school!

Our first day of school was awesome. The kids did great and us at home had some fun too. I love the pictures I got too!
Funnies from the 1st day of school:
Kaylee told me that she had to go to the office to get "professional" help - she got her bracelet stuck in her braces! I'm sure the office had a great laugh.
Tyson had to wear his backpack most of the day to be like the big kids. When I opened it I found popcorn (from the night before) and a toast (from breakfast)! I guess he was saving them for later.
Kyler just thought that school was really long, having to stay for all day.
We have great teachers and it's going to be a great year!

Dad's in charge

Dad told the kids to get their own ice cream! Luckily, this is where mom walked in and saved the day.

A Few Girly Things

1. Look how fun this skirt turned out! Kaylee loves it and can't wait to wear it to school. I love love love the matching headband! I found the tutorial for the skirt here.

2. We are having a Girly Party!! Our first ever. I have had several requests to come see some headbands, so I decided to invite everyone over at once. Bring your new school clothes and we will find the perfect girly accent to go with it! Headbands, hairbows, flower clips, and even some jewelry. The party is next Thursday, August 13, 2009 at 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm, at my house(e-mail me if you need an address - sales@girlyaccents.com). Mark your calendars! I will try to get some invitations out in the next day or two, but please know that EVERYONE is invited. Come to visit and have treats.
