Buying Smiles

I'm pretty sure that my kids are now officially tired of me taking pictures of them. On Friday I wanted to do some practicing, so I drug them around to a few different spots. I was smart this time and instead of getting frowns, I made a deal with them before we started. I told them I wanted to buy some smiles. Kaylee and Kyler both love getting dollars, so this worked perfectly. Now I just need to pay up! I think I'm catching on to this photography thing.

Homework

I never really enjoyed homework when I was younger. Luckily, I haven't had to do any "homework" for quite a few years. In the last few weeks, I have had some homework assignments for a photography class that I'm taking from Brooke Snow. I can honestly say that I have thoroughly enjoyed the assignments and I'm looking forward to more. This is one picture that I took as a challenge from Brooke to try to get some silhouettes. I love how it turned out. I'm excited about what I have learned, and I'm excited to get more awesome pictures.

Tulips

Yesterday, Cali and I took the kids to check out the Tulip Festival. We had never been before. The weather was perfect, maybe even a little warm. It was beautiful. My kids weren't too cooperative with my picture taking, but at least we enjoyed getting out of the house for a while.

Spring Break - Day 1

We did pretty good staying busy today. Here are the highlights:

1 - Putting puzzles together that we got for Easter.
2 - Rode bikes to the park.
3 - Played at the park.

4 - Read two chapters with Kaylee and Kyler (while Tyson was asleep.)
5 - Enjoyed FHE with the Bements.
6 - Got an Easter treat dropped on the porch.
This was actually my highlight of the day. After opening the door to no one, I asked my neighbor (who was sitting on their porch) which way they went. He gave me the tip of looking behind their truck. So I took 5 quick steps towards the truck and they all started running. It still makes me laugh thinking about them running so fast, not wanting to get caught. I don't know who they were, but it was fun to tease them a little and act like I was really going to catch them.

Hopefully the rest of the week can go as well as today did. Keep your fingers crossed.
