Check up

I was a little late getting Tyson's 2 year check up done, but today we got it off the list. Both Tyson and I have had colds and coughs the last day or two, so he already didn't feel that good, but once I took his clothes off for the check up he about had a meltdown. We compromised on the hat, since he couldn't put anything else back on. We got a good report, no ear infections, no RSV, and growing good too. We are at 8.36 percentile for weight (which is an improvement from 7), and 20.23 percentile for height (a big improvement from 7.8, no wonder we are growing out of all our clothes!) We only had to have 1 shot and we don't have to go back for a whole year! Yeah!

Braces, braces!

Today was the big day! Kaylee was so brave and didn't even complain. We have a long road a head of us, so this is just the beginning. We are so thankful for Uncle Doug and his generosity. It's so fun to get to see him, Natalie, and Aunt Jane every time we go in to the office. It's nice to know we are in good hands. I got lessons on how to adjust (on the top of her mouth) twice a week. Also, in a few days we start wearing a reverse head-gear at night. It's good that Kaylee is a tough cookie!

Bulk

My new favorite thing is buying in bulk! Check out that spool of elastic, I can't imagine ever running out. If anyone needs 3/8 inch white elastic, I can give you a deal!

Projects....

I've decided that I enjoy staying busy with projects. Here are just a few in the works right now.

Remember this project that started way back in June? So, I haven't stayed up with it as good as thought I would, but I'm still working on it. I have 5 blocks done and 1 more cut out. Only 2 blocks are still in the bags, not started. There are 12 blocks total, so I'm almost half way there. Block #1 is still my favorite.

Remember this cute quilt that I made for Cali's baby? I told you I'd make another one someday just for me. Well, I've officially started cutting blocks and bought more fabric, so I'm ready to go. I'm making it bigger for a me size quilt, NOT a baby size quilt! I'm so excited for this one!

And finally, this is my favorite new project. I was lucky enough to buy one of Becky Higgins Project 365 kits, so that has made this project quick and easy. I've been taking a picture each day and writing a little about it. It is so fun to look at and see things that I wouldn't normally scrapbook, but are fun to remember.

Other projects to do:
  • Finish painting Kaylee's room
  • Paint the kid's bathroom
  • Keep up with Cali in the digital world
  • More headbands
  • The kid's scrapbooks
And the list goes on.....
