Creative Kyler
Kyler is my creative child. (the others are too, but Kyler is the most!) He is constantly wanting to build something or make something. He is always raiding the recycle box to cut and tape the boxes together. This is his creation today. Wings! He's turned into a bird. He's been flapping his wings and flying ever since he taped them on! Oh, and don't forget the tail on his back. Kaylee was using her cape as wings and was flying right a long with him. It times like this that I wish I could be one of the kids and be carefree again!

Playing Outside
Although I feel a week behind on all my Chirstmas projects, today I felt like Tyson and I needed to get some fresh air after a long week of being couped up in the house. Luckily, the backyard is as far as we had to go to find some fun. We enjoyed swinging, sliding, running, chasing, and some good laughing. We had a lot of fun and I'm really glad that I took a few minutes to be a fun mom.

Inspiring...
PS A sneak peek of some of my Christmas projects is coming soon!
Graditude Tree FHE
While I was trying to find some ideas for Sharing Time, I saw this idea and decided that is just what we needed to do for FHE. It's been a while since I have put much effort into a good lesson, so it was time. This is our graditude tree. Brian had a lot of fun drawing our tree for us (plus some scribbles from Tyson) and I just love how it turned out. Then we wrote things that we were thankful for on the leaves before we put them on the tree (or on the ground). We have a lot more leaves and will add more every night until Thanksgiving. It was good to get the kids thinking and it will get a little harder thinking of different things as we get closer to Thanksgiving.

Jumping on the Bandwagon
The Private Bandwagon that is. I've decided that you can never be too safe. It's amazing how scary this world is becoming. That's why I'm following the trend and making my blog private. Let me know if you want an invite, leaving me a comment or sending me an e-mail. I'll make it a done deal next Sunday, Nov. 16th.

Lights!
Now that we got Halloween over with, we can all move on to better things.....like Christmas! Not that I'm skipping over Thanksgiving, but Christmas just takes more preparation. Thanks to Tara's motivating post about getting your Chirstmas shopping done early, I can now say that I'm 75% done and I'm going to start wrapping this week! It's such a good feeling. I still have sewing to do, but that is an enjoyable thing for me while I still have 7 weeks to do it! So, on Saturday Brian and I got some good shopping done including new Chirstmas lights for our house! The kids had so much fun helping me put our pattern of colors together. Then, we enjoyed playing with the lights. We got one strand hung up late Saturday night and we will get the rest up tonight. I didn't know Christmas lights would get me so excited. I think it's partly because the kids love them so much!
