Double digits. 10 Months Old.
My heart sinks but my face smiles with the joy that you have brought into lives. As Thanksgiving approaches, I know exactly what I am giving thanks for this year.....it's you, my sweet son.
During the 9th month of your life
(Oct 11th - Nov 11th), I have seen your biggest changes. Not so much physically, because we all know you are doing WELL in that department, but we have seen your little personality come alive. We are seeing more of YOU....and we are loving it! :)
You...
weigh around 23 lbs and are about 30 inches long. You are wearing size 12 - 18 month clothes, and size 4 diapers.
are still exclusively nursing, and are quite quick at it too! (
3 minutes or less! super fast!)
are taking 2 naps a day, and are sleeping through the night
(with the exception of a little snack at about 2:30, does that count? ha! You are also beginning to learn how to put yourself to sleep, and Mommy is rocking you less and less. Even though it makes me sad, it's time.
are babbling constantly, letting us know what going through that little mind of yours. However, many times you are enamored by your big brother, just watching quietly, yet intently. But now, you are showing him that you have a say too! (saying: ma ma, da da, bye bye, bi (bite), and shake your head "no").
got your 3rd (upper) and 4th tooth (lower)!
doing the funniest things lately! Shrugging your shoulders (which is precious), you also get up on your knees and lift your hands and make a little growl...you look like a little bear ready to pounce! So, I guess you are living up to your nickname, cuddly but feisty!
love to wiggle when you hear music....you shake from side to side and bounce up and down. There is nothing cuter!
love to give kisses - open mouth kisses! And sometimes, I am not even prepared for them...I just see this slobbery mouth coming at me! But, believe me, I don't mind!!
you are so very strong. My goodness! You are definitely like a bull in a china closet when I am getting you dressed or you want down to crawl. Wrestling with you in going to interesting in a few years :)
crawl with ease, pull up with confidence and are beginning to "let go" and stand for a few seconds. My guess is that you will be walking by your 1st birthday.
love to climb - anything! But especially stairs....the baby gate is BACK! ha! You think it is funny when Mommy comes to rescue you off the stairs, you giggle and start climbing faster! Yes, you will be my little monkey!
have a obsession with socks! You love holding them & carrying them around, everywhere! They have turned into your "lovies"!
And you have an obsession with my dishwasher - what is it that makes it so interesting??
you are such a good (
and still messy) eater! This has been such a change for me, your big brother is so very NEAT! But I love that you are your own individual and unique, even if it means cleaning you up after every meal. You are beginning to eat more table food, little by little I can see that our baby food days are numbered. Oh, and you kick your little legs as you eat....you definitely enjoy food! ;)
love to give me bites of all of your food.....you want to share, saying, "bi".
love to call like an Indian, saying, "Ahhhh!" and patting your mouth at the same time -- too cute! :)
are beginning to really PLAY with Layton. It makes my heart so happy to see you boys playing together. You understand when things are funny, and you repeat the action over and over.
For example, you take your paci out and throw it......I say, "Don't you throw you paci!" Then you go and throw it again.....waiting for me to say it again, then giggling! I just LOVE IT!
celebrated your 1st Halloween, dressed as the cutest little bear EVER!
We feel so blessed to be sharing these sweet days with you....
Happy 10 Months, Sweet Boy!
