Honk if you love OPI - DS Original

Honk if you love OPI is from the Touring America collection
A gorgeous blackened berry
I free handed some sadly misshapen v french tips and my ring finger with DS Origional
I love blackened shades like this where you can easily in any light tell the color but it's so very deep and vampy still
I used 2 coats of Honk if you <3 OPI and one of DS Original
Vampy and holo is a favorite combo for it they just compliment the best parts of each other
I feel silly saying every single time that the formula is great so with OPI I will just let you know if I ever get one that sucks. (^o^)
This is a busy season for me so I'll do my best to post and update as much as possible.
Just remember that I adore you all and miss you much and you can always DM me on Twitter or FaceBook.

LCN Magnetic Polish fun

I was given the opportunity to try LCN Magnetic polishes and they are so fun!
This is the kit I was sent...
The magnets are great! One is the star and the other stripes
I used Fuschia Attraction and Green Temptation and both magnets
I alternated the magnets because well I like it that way
These polishes are straight one coat colors, no layering needed. I love that!
This was my first try using these so I'm sure I'll get better with them as I play
I have other magnetic polish but these work so much better
The polish is $9.50 a bottle (a bit high but the results are worth it imo)
And the colors are so good and unique. I will be playing a lot more with these!
You can get them Here The entire set is $115 and you get both magnets and all 8 colors so not a bad deal.
What do you think of the magnetic polish?

Dark Angel and her Stardust

I received the sweetest RAOK (random act of kindness)
a couple of weeks ago from Jennifer of The Polished Pirate Blog, she sent me a little pretty that's been on my wishlist for a while....MAC's Dark Angel! YAY I know the color isn't anything all that unique and I'm not big on MAC's formula but I NEEDED this one because of the name....it was meant to be mine! Thank you so much Jennifer, I love it and it sits in a place of honor in my polish closet.
What you thought I would do a normal manicure? Not happening!
I added Best Nail Treatments Stardust glitter to the very tips and my ring finger
I love this! The dark blackened purple of Dark Angel contrasts perfect with BNT teal glitter of Stardust
This is the most color accurate picture
MAC's formula still blows, it's streaky, drags and shrinks weird at the cuticle but the color is beautiful.
BNT Stardust is nearly full coverage in one coat and it dries so fast and the glitter is very fine so it's not bumpy once you put top coat on. (It also is a pita to remove therefore wears like teflon coated iron wearing a bullet-proof vest)
I could stare at this all day!

OPI has got THE Blues

I had the urge for blue the other day so I grabbed
Nicole by OPI It's not me it's Blue and OPI Road house Blues from the Touring America Collection
I was feeling polk a doty so I played with contrasting dots on all my fingers
I just used my smallest dotting tool and got a little random
Hmmmm....My ring finger has dots of It's not me it's blue all the way up the outer side but the lighting makes it hard to tel. :o(
I love how this turned out, it's subtle but fun
Road House Blues is a beautiful deep blue cream and It's not me it's blue looks purple in the bottle but once on the nail you see the blue base with silver and pink metallic shimmer. Both are gorgeous and great formula's
I think these two blues are perfect together.
You can't possibly feel blue wearing these!
P.S. Just a note to say when I removed this I had NO smurf murder hands and not a bit of staining!

OPI A Color to Diner for

This is a gorgeous shade from OPI's Touring America Fall 2011 collection
I know most people describe it as a berry, or wine and in the bottle it kind of is...on me it's a gorgeous red that when the light hits the fuchsia shimmer turns to a lovely red wine shade.
See now it looks more wine toned and the hidden shimmer peeks out
I added a little of the mylar flaky glitter from Born Pretty Store to my ring finger
I just sprinkled it over while my top coat was wet and then added another coat.
You can find the flakies here
The formula was OPI's normal perfectly smooth applying and opaque in 2 coats formula
I wish the sun had been out so I could better show of the hidden shimmer
For me this is a perfectly fun red and I kind of like that it looks different on my skin tone.

Hello from Kitty

My beautiful Swedish Sister from another Mother Feline sent me a goody package....
(I know you read her blog & if not you are missing out huge, see it here )
(Silver Kitty & Kitty Princess)
Feline feeds my poor little girl who could buy Hello Kitty goodies and so now as an Adult must have ALL Sanrio pretties!
I went a little FUNky on this one because it was for my middle daughters birthday and well she's ummmm...rather blingtastic. lol
I did 2 coats of Kitty Princess, 2 coats of Silver Kitty on my ring finger then tipped them in the opposite.
I used a mini straw dipped in silver kitty for the "rings" and the tip of the brush to dot my ring finger.
Kitty Princess is so sweet, it is a perfect baby pink creme with heavy metallic silver flecks
My little Rane loved it and I ended up doing her toes to match my nails

Stay tuned for a ton more Hello Kitty polish and some gorgeous Swedish polish too!
Giant hugs and smooches to my beautiful Feline, you spoil me so!

Happy nails? Nail art sort of

I was trying to decide what color to do my nails and I looked down
at my naked little nubbins and started laughing. (Hubby looks at me like I'm nuts)
I noticed that my short nails looked like they had a crew cut...really they do and I'll prove it...
See told you!
I used just my regular base coat, different colors of striping polish for the colorful crew cuts and a few of the rub on decals I made for my kids then a coat of Seche Vite.

It's a Pirate Party!

I figured while my nails are so short I should play with glitter
(Glitter turns to concrete on my nails and is painful to remove, even with the foil method & pure acetone so when my nails are long I rarely wear it)
I used OPI Skull and Glossbones as my base and 2 un named glitters
I added an accent of one of my little skull and crossbones decals and we have a Pirate Party!
Sadly we had no sun to get full bling pictures
I did 2 coats of Skull & Glossbones and one coat of each of the glitters followed with a thick coat of seche Vite
Yes it was a pita to remove but I loved it anyway!
