Unchained

First a disclaimer....My hands and cuticles look like poo!
It has gotten very cold and dry here and my work has me washing my hands constantly as well as wearing surgical gloves all day and I ran out of my Indulgence cuticle creme and my supplies were delayed so I apologize for my craptastic looking hands. I've been using lots of hand cream but my skin prefers the non chemical filled richness. So hopefully in a few days I'll be back to human skin. Try not to look directly at the yuck skin!

I did this manicure to celebrate a dear friend finally leaving a very nasty relationship.
Remember love...You are Unchained and the key is yours alone!
I used Revlon Temptress as my base
Then added the little heart decals
I then stamped randomly using the BM12 image plate and CND Silver Chrome
I did the "broken" chains by rolling the stamp half way across to the heart and stopping
I kind of like this look.

Play date and shiny things

I finally got a chance to meet up with my little Ange today.
(We've been trying since her Bday and then mine)
She brought me Birthday shinies!

I'm a doof and forgot to write the names.
The 1st one on the left is Glitter Gal 3D Deep Green, Gumdrop, ?, Two of the revlon smellies and 4 gorgeous polishes she swapped Thrisza to get for me! :o)
Thank you Angerdoodle!

Then we went to a Dusty I'd been eyeing for a while but hadn't had a chance to hit.
And Jackpot!
Ange and I have realized that everytime we go dusty hunting together we hit the Motherload.
Must be the Blackfoot and Irish luck juju, lol!

I restrained myself and stayed in my budget :o(
*Kicks stupid budget in the bum*

I'm so thrilled to have found St. Tropez, Moody Blue and Martini Pedicure They have been on my gotta have it list for a long time. All of these are colors I've been looking for.

It was a short playdate but we had fun and hopefully it won't be so long before the next.

Smelly Nails :)

This has been siting in my untrieds for a while and last night I really needed to change...
I mean it had been 48 hours with the same color. But this stupid evil cold has me in a major brain fog so I asked Chris to pick a color for me. He said why don't you do one of those fruit smelly ones. Ummmm....first how does he remember that I have those when I don't even remember? So I showed him the 3 smelly polishes and he picked Revlon Pretty in Papaya.
This applied very well, a bit streaky on the first coat but the second smoothed it rightout.
Oh man, even with a cold this smells fabulous! Papaya nails mmmmmm....

Now acourding to the "rules" I should be warm toned since I have dark hair, dark eyes and tan easily but nope, I look horrid in gold, yellow or anything warm toned so I am proof that the rules are broken.
So this is way too warm of a Coral/ Orange and made my skin look really bad so I Konadded it with Konad special polish in white, using plates m57 and m40 which cooled it down enough for me to enjoy my smelly manicure.

This smells through 2 coats of Seche Vite

A tropical mani to defeat the snow

Still no sunshine so these are all taken outside in overcast lighting while freezing my butt off!
