CND Dark Ruby & Crimson Sparkle

CND Dark Ruby is a deep vampy slightly berried red, I topped it with

crimson sparkle which is a red and gold shimmer top coat.

The gold shimmer is subtle but very pretty

This is 2 coats of Dark Ruby and one coat of Crimson Sparkle in lightbox lighting

Both have very smooth creamy application. The CND brush is one of my top 5 favorite.

I love the bottles and the cap. Dark Ruby is lovely on it's own but I was feeling fancy.

I think I need more CND effects!

CND Night Factory set

Dark, vampy, shimmery, modern and sexy!

Is there anything more a girl could want for fall?

CND The look for fall Night Factory set gives you a perfect twist on fall vampy

with Urban Oasis and Teal Sparkle.

Urban Oasis is a vampy but not blackened teal creme, nearly opaque in one coat.

Teal Sparkle is well sparkly teal with a bit of yellowy gold mixed in.

I did a "gradient look with it so that the shimmer would be stronger at the base of my nails and subtler toward the tip. I love the effect!

Overall formula on both is very nice, smooth fluid but not runny.

Coverage is great with both, obviously it's shear with Teal Sparkle. lol

Brush...love the CND brush, not to wide but not skinny and wimpy.

I can think of so many combinations to do with just these two.

I recieved this lovely little hottie in a swap with the lovely Flinty of Polish or Perish.

Pop Beauty Radioactive and since I can't leave well enough alone I added a coat of CND effects in Crimson shimmer, which you can't see in the pictures since we had no sunlight today.

P.S. I apologize for the lack of cleanup, my kids school let out early due to icy roads and snow so I never had time. :(

CND Effects review

I recieved some samples from CND for review:

Inkwell-A deep blackened Blue creme

Silver chrome- Metallic silver

Effects copper shimmer-Sheer Milky white with tons of copper shimmer

Super Matte top coat

I decided to get a little creative.

I did 2 coats of Inkwell

sponged Silver chrome at the free edge

1 coat of Effects Copper shimmer

1 coat of Effects Scarlet shimmer (I already had this)

I love how it gave it a purple tone

Here you can see the copper shimmer

Inkwell applied like a dream, opaque in two very thin coats and the CND brush is my new girlfriend!

Their brush is The bees knees, not too wide but wider than your standard brush, flat and just the right shape to give an excellent and easy application.

Silver Chrome is opaque in one coat, not streaky like most metallics and super sparkly.

The effects shimmers are fabulous, they do not dull or cover the color beneath but add amazing shimmer and that lit within look.

Super Matte top coat is not like your traditional matte top coat. It does not give the flat matte feel like most but it does add an interesting matte like apearance. I have to play with it more.

Now I want the rest of the effects and more CND colors! Did I mention that their brush is perfection?
