The challenge this week on Tag you're it this week is Wings. I used my butterfly stamp again which. I stamped it onto DCWV OUAT paper and highlighted areas of the butterfly with crystal lacquers. The background of the tag was coloured with Color box Brocade ink pads, and I added my painted flowers and finished the edge of the tag with Acrylic dabber.

Dragonfly

The challenge this week on Wednesday Stamper is to make a skinny, and the Tanda Teaser is Up in the Air, so I decided to combine the two, and made this skinny. I have used my swirl stamps in the background, highlighted with a white gel pen. I then added accent beads and acrylic dabbers. I then used my dragonfly stamp and some fantasy film and illusion card to make the dragonfly.

Feather plaque

Having had a little bit of playtime today, when I should have been making cards, I happened upon an mdf plaque that I bought recently, so I decided to do something with it! I coloured the plaque with Adirondack acrylic dabbers , eggplant, black and gold. I then triple thick embossed it with clear UTEE, adding a sprinkling of Malachite Fire Aurora cosmic shimmer embossing powder on the third go. I then inked my peacock feather stamp with a gold encore ink pad and stamped into the still molten powder.

CSF Christmas project 2008

These are the triangles that I have made for the CSF Christmas project. We are in teams of 4 and have each made 2 letters for the word Christmas, which we then swap. We have also all made our own S so that when we each receive all the letters we are able to make a banner decoration. I have used all my own stamps and embossed them in gold. The decoration on the letters is hand drawn, and the edges of the letters are finished with gold Krylon.........the edges of the triangles are finished with gold acrylic dabber.

Unicorn canvas

Another canvas, this time using my new Unicorn stamp. The background is painted with Adirondack acrylic dabbers. The unicorn itself is stamped on textured "old" gold paper. The swirl is stamped with olive green stazon, a couple of times, and then embossed in gold. The words were written on freehand...........(I know, you can tell!!!)

Stampbord Rose canvas

Today I have made a canvas, using my own design stamp, and a stampbord oval. I decorated the stampbord with ink, and stamped the rose with black Stazon, and used an edtching tool to add details. I edged the oval with black acrylic dabber, I then triple embossed it using clear UTEE. The canvas was coloured with inks and I then attached a piece of pearl embossed paper, and a piece of purple and silver material, and a quote. The stampbord oval was attached and the whole canvas was decorated with bindis.

More skinnys

I have been making skinnys this week, for the September swap on CSF. I have again used some of my new stamps. They are coloured with Aquatone sticks, and the backgrounds chalked. I then used Acrylic dabbers round the edges, and a sharpie marker to draw the shadow round the embossed image. I then wrote the words on to finish the skinnys off.

Florries ATC Challenge

A good friend of mine asked me if I'd do one of my doodle horses, as the theme for Florries challenge on CSF this week is animals. This one was a bit different in as much as I doodled it with a pokey tool on stampbord, which had been inked with distress inks. I then edged the ATC with gold acrylic dabber.

July tag swap

I've decided to join the July Tag swap on CSF........all three tags will be the same, so I've just blogged the first one. I have used a fab sheet of paper, (sorry can't remember whose it is!) The edges were distressed with distress ink, and then edged with a gold Adirondack acrylic dabber. The stamps are both my designs, stamped with olive green Stazon, and coloured in using Aquatone sticks. The lily was then cut out, and mounted on a spare piece of the background paper, and gold mirri card, before being attached to the tag.

Thespian birthday card

I had to make a birthday card for a friend who is rather talented in Thespian matters. I used an art mould and air dry clay, to make the theatrical masks, which I then gilded using easy metal. The masks are mounted on a circle of stampbordwhich I had embossed using cosmic shimmer embossing powder. I also gilded the edge of the stampbord, again using easy metal. I printed out a quote from "As you like it", tore it out, tinted it using a colorbox meatallic ink pad, and gilded the edge using an Adirondack gold dabber. This wa mounted on a blue pearl card blank, the corners of which I had decorated using a corner punch. I then edged the whole card with the gold dabber, and mounted the theatrial masks using silicone glue. The corners were then completed using gold peel offs.
