Om - Advaitic Songs

Genre: Atm.Doom/Drone
Country: U.S.A.
Year: 2012

1. Addis
2. State Of Non-Return
3. Gethsemane
4. Sinai
5. Haqq al-Yaqin

5th album by Om. Om’s exploration of spiritually resonant drone continues. This is the type of album that will reward listeners with one of the most well-crafted atmospheres this year has offered up so far. The record is flanked with 2 cellists, a violinist, flute and tabla.  It speaks to a grooving ancient-sounding monolithic psycho-spiritual gloomfest.

Om - Pilgrimage

Genre: Heavy/Doom/Stoner
Country: U.S.A
Year: 2007

1. Pilgrimage
2. Unitive Knowledge Of The Godhead
3. Bhima's Theme
4. Pilgrimage (Reprise)

3rd album by Om. This release is still metal as fuck and OM has proven to be a fascinating evolution upon the heavy doom roots of Sleep. Chris Hakius and Al Cisneros, the rhythm-section of former doom legends Sleep,  continue the sound of Sleep, but purified and more minimal. They take heavy music in a more spiritual direction.
