Tankard - A Girl Called Cerveza

Genre: Thrash
Country: Germany
Year: 2012

1. Rapid Fire (A Tyrant's Elegy)
2. A Girl Called Cerveza
3. Witchhunt 2.0
4. Masters Of Farces
5. The Metal Lady Boy
6. Not One Day Dead (But One Day Mad)
7. Son Of A Fridge
8. Fandom At Random
9. Metal Magnolia
10. Running On Fumes

15th album by Tankard. The music itself is quite well composed here, boasting superb production and strong enough variation to survive a good number of replays. The band inserted more melodies and elements of traditional heavy metal, a thing that made the whole album easily listenable and not over-boring. The album starts off strong and slowly began to fade into a softer tone keeping things still intense.

Blut Aus Nord - Memoria Vetusta I : Fathers Of The Icy Age

Genre: Black
Country: France
Year: 1996

1. Slaughterday (The Heathen Blood Of Ours)
2. On The Path Of Wolf… Towards Dwarfhill
3. Sons Of Wisdom, Master Of Elements
4. The Forsaken Voices Of The Ghostwood’s Shadowy Realm
5. The Territory Of Witches/Guardians Of The Dark Lake
6. Day Of Revenge (The Impure Blood Of Theirs)
7. Fathers Of The Icy Age

2nd album by Blut Aus Nord. On here they're building on essentially an Immortal/Burzum inspired sound, with a couple hints of viking-era Bathory lurking. There is less use of clean vocals, guitars and keyboards than on the debut, but they're better placed and used to great effect. Epic tones are heard throughout, yet the songs never strecth out to what seems like forever.
