Debut full length by Paradise Lost and it’s really quite amazing how much the band has changed since this release. Here the band played a death metal version of doom metal that at the time was rather original. The production is a bit bad,but it creates a nice atmosphere.

Debut album by Cross Examination. It doesn't bring anything particularly new to the table, but it succeeds at being what it attempts to be and that is a fun straightforward crossover record. The guitarwork on the album is fast and very unrelenting, there isn't a moment on the album where killer riffs aren't pounding you in the face. Lyrics about drinking beer, partying, weed-smoking dragons, the decapitation of hipsters and other killer themes!!!
