Tilda does Spooky

I know, I know I said no more Halloween, but too many challenges have it as a theme so I just had to. And Tilda is really too cute to spook.

This is for these lovely challenges:

Edit to add (forgot to say what I used!):
Spot and stripe papers are by Doodlebug as are the glitter sweetie brads, the other papers and sentiment are by Pink Petticoat. The stamp is a Magnolia Tilda, shaded with Copics, I drew around a cookie cutter die as couldn't use the slice - too noisy when the bubs and bigger bubs are having their nap! I punched the star and other shape out and the border is Fiskars.

It's a gorgeous day here, hope it stays like this next week for Centre Parcs! We've bought waterproofs just in case though!

Spooky TImes

I hope this works as this is my first attempt at scheduling a post. This is absolutely my last Halloween card - honestly!

It's made for the following challenges: The image is a Sugar Nellie stamp, shaded with Copics with an added witches hat from Robin. The sentiment is also a digi download from Robin. The papers and candy corns are by Doodlebug, left over from previous Halloween cards. The gooey punched border is Martha Stewart and was a lovely gift from Tracy at Dies to Die for that started off as pink, so shaded with matching Copic and then ran it through the bug using swiss dots embossing folder

And last night I lost another 2.5lbs and won slimmer of the week!

Thank Crunchie it's Friday!

Anya witches up!

I was obviously destined to keep making Halloween cards and I'm glad 'cos I really like this one! It's a new Anya stamp but I thought she needed 'witching up' :)

These are the challenges I'm entering this one for:

I shaded Anya with Copics and ProMarkers and added the fabulous hat and sentiment which are free digi downloads from Robin. Pop over and check out her stuff, you won't regret it.

My patterned paper is by Doodlebug as is the glittery button. I couldn't decide on my favourite embellishment as I seem to have three, so I used all three - buttons, glitter gems and Glamour Dust! The sparkly black and red papers are from my stash, sorry not sure who makes them. The spider has glitter gems for eyes and I added some faux stitching around the image and sentiment.

My cough has got worse - which will please certain folks as I can't talk for long ha, ha! So I'm staying in in the warm today after a day out with my boys and my mum in law. Was a fab day window shopping and going for lunch. Although I did go in Ikea.....OMG after my last traumatic experience there with the uber queue I said I'd never go back. Sarita if you're reading you know why!

Roses on Paper have a Guest Designer call on at the moment too, you can see the details here.

Itty Bitty Betty Boo

I know I said probably no more Halloween cards but I thought I'd squeeze this one in and make it for 10 challenges! I'm in full on lights are on but no-one's home mode today and thought I should be posting one of my DT cards, but that's tomorrow and I had nothing to post today - eeek! So I browsed some challenges and came up with this card:

The challenges are:
  1. Mojo Monday - Fab sketch
  2. Copic Creations - Black
  3. ABC - Flying
  4. Cute Card Thursday - Spookfest
  5. Colour Create - Black, white, red and yellow
  6. C.R.A.F.T - 3 papers, 2 buttons, 1 ribbon
  7. Stampin' B's - Halloween
  8. One Stop Crafts - Halloween (I won last week's challenge - yey!)
  9. Pile it On - Ready for Halloween
  10. Creative Friday - Halloween

My three patterned black papers are all from Pink Petticoat's Spooky Doodlies CD if you can't see it, the third paper is plain stars hidden under the stitched ribbon. I got this fab Itty Bitty Betty digi stamp from the Pink Cat Studio and tried my best to do some grey / black Copic shading. Harder than it looks. The red star was cut out with a Nestie die and I cut the yellow one by hand and topped them with two buttons tied with some yellow thread.

I had to do this in less than an hour as I'd promised Hubby he could spend the day stripping wallpaper in the hallway whilst I play with the small boys. Yes, yes I know how to spoil him don't I? Tee hee.

The Dark Side

And that's the name of this weeks challenge at Papertake! I had really good fun making this one as it's probably my last Halloween card. I say probably because a girl can change her mind. Cupcake Craft Challenges want us to use buttons and stitching, no way was I getting my sewing machine out so it's faux all the way for me.

Digital Tuesday want to see Halloween, Our Creative Corner provided this fab sketch and Dare you to Digi Stamp want to see black, orange, yellow and white. Saturday Spotlight with hidden potential want us to decorate a tree.

So the image and the patterned papers are digi from Pink Petticoat, aren't they fab? The buttons are My Minds Eye with a little thread knotted through. The sentiment is also Pink Petticoat and the stitched ribbon is DCWV. I doodled the rest of the stitching.

I've just booked a short break to Centre Parcs, can't wait to go and see Zac messing about in the pool. I might even hire one of those bikes with a baby trailer on the back. For those that know me really well, yes I did say I might hire a bike! I might even ride it....

Spooky Bags

It's my second week being guest designer at Allsorts and our theme this week is Halloween. Pink Gem Designs are sponsoring us and there's a fab stamp up for grabs.

I made this treat bag and card using another template from Papertrey Ink. I'm entering this for the challenge at Simon Says Stamp as the theme is Halloween and Three Clovers want to see Halloween or Autumn treat bags.

I used the Spooky Doodles kit from Pink Petticoat, I couldn't resist these cute lil pink ghosts. Zac's best friend Aimee will love this filled with white chocolate buttons. The Kraft card is printed from the same kit and the buttons are from The Range, only 99p for a massive bag full.

I forgot to tell you I lost another 2 pounds at fat club on Thursday, fingers crossed I'll have lost a stone by Christmas.

I'm leaving James in charge of the boys today whilst I go to meet Sue. Shopping, gossiping and crafting. It was harder than packing to go on holiday sorting out a bag full of stuff to take with me today. I need a lorry to pack up my entire stash!!

Trick or Treat?

I was so excited to be invited by Caryn to be her guest designer this week at A Spoon Full of Sugar! No way was I saying no - thanks Caryn. The theme is Halloween so I thought a gift for my hubby from the boys would be fun to make. Join in the challenge, there's a fab prize from Bunny Zoe's Crafts up for grabs and some great DT inspiration to oggle at.

I used another Timeless Template from Papertrey Ink, to make the trick or treat bag. Being as I'm joining the Pink Elephants challenge this week too, I chose Doodlebug papers as they contain the right colour combo of black, orange, purple and white. Stampavie and More also have a Halloween theme and Fun with shapes and more want us to use animals and I have a cheeky cat with spider image from the Digi Stamp Boutique.

The bag was the easiest template to use so far and comes in two sizes for versatility, the cute image from Digi stamp is shaded with ProMarkers and mounted on to a tag on the bag and a die cut mat on the card. The patterned strip on the card is also by Doodlebug. Sweets from stash!!!

Hocus Pocus

Hi - this is my first design team card for Die Cut Dreams where this week we have a spooky challenge for you. There's a colour combo of black, green, purple and orange, a sketch by Vikki and a Halloween theme. Not as complicated as it might sound so give it a try. There are two fab prizes up for grabs including stamps, stickers, buttons, gems and stamped images too.

This picture is a bit rubbish - I hate taking photos at this time of year. I think I will have to resort to taking them in the bathroom - all the white helps! I'm entering this for this weeks challenge at ABC who have the theme -'embossing' and also Dare you to Digi Stamp as they ask us to use punches or die cuts.

OK then, my 'lil witch is a digi download from the Digi Stamp Boutique and her name is Izzi (I'm guessing derived from Izzy whizzy lets get busy magic saying but 'm probably sooooo wrong!). She's shaded with ProMarkers and sits on another mat using those fab die cuts I got at the weekend.

The squiggly sparkly trim and the bat brads are by Doodlebug, as is the rub on sentiment. I spent ages embossing the cobweb background with a Fiskars texture plate and the hand embossing tool. I really must get a new embossing mat!

Pop over and see what the rest of the design team made - they're spooktacular!

Boo!

This is my first ever Halloween card. I was inspired to make it by the challenge at Digital Tuesday of 'clean and simple fall card'. I don't have any Autumn stash at all so I went with Halloween as it's in the Autumn! A Spoon Full of Sugar are also running an Autumn themed week and although I've missed the deadline, this was also for Little Paper Shop who had a Halloween theme.

This was actually so hard to make! I downloaded a Halloween kit from Pink Petticoat and then spent about two hours deciding what to do with it. I wanted to use this digi Kraft paper Liz made for us and this little pumpkin which was already coloured but wasn't sure how (I obviously inhaled too much cleaning product when I was cleaning the oven yesterday!).

In the end I came up with this and I do like it. All I did was print the pumpkin and the Kraft card, cut out and layer and add a sentiment with rub-ons. Oh and then I thought some dots round the edge would be a good way to have a try with a white gel pen.

I made another card yesterday but it's far too pants to pop on here!
