The Flower Challenge #102

It's May and time for another fun challenge at The Flower Challenge.  We want you to add spots or stripes to your card along with flowers.

My love of daisies inspired this card made with Altenew's Fresh Flowers.  Some Lost Shadow DI was added to the white petals, while the other flowers were cut from yellow and Fossilized Amber used for shading.  All the flowers are arranged on striped paper from my stash and a BetterPress sentiment was added.

We'd love to see your spotted or striped cards in our gallery.  For inspiration, please check out what the Design Team has made.

Time Out #260

Hey there friends.  I'm so glad you dropped by.

Are you ready for another Time Out challenge?  This should be an easy one.

We are being sponsored by Lawn Fawn and the winner of the challenge will receive a $25 store credit.

These flowers were in my Bits box, unpainted. They are from MFT and I stamped them at Bonnie's several years ago.  Since they were on Bristol,  I colored them with Zigs and then glued them onto some striped pattern paper.  EZPZ.

How will you include stripes on your card.  For plenty of wonderful inspiration, please check out what the Design Team has made.

The Flower Challenge #58

It's July and time for another The Flower Challenge.  This time we want to see Spots or Stripes on your cards.

The Design Team and our guest Enna have some wonderful cards for your inspiration.  Here's mine.

The stripes are some patterned paper I got in a PTI set a long time ago and it was just waiting for a challenge like this.  I colored some Altenew flowers with Zigs and added a sentiment from WF.

What will spots or stripes look like on your card?  I hope you enter this month's challenge.

The Flower Challenge #50 - Reminder

Have you made a card for this month's The Flower Challenge?  There is still time left.  You can get inspiration from our Design Team and guest designer Enna on the blog.  We are featuring sentiments along with our flowers. Here's my card.

I realized I used almost the same colors for my earlier card.  I hope I'm not getting in a rut. ;) This one features the poppies from Altenew colored with Zigs.  I partially die cut the top to allow for the striped paper.  The sentiment is from Penny Black.  Something I think we need to take to heart.

I hope to see you in the gallery.

Just Us Girls #555 - Photo Challenge

Cecile is this week's host at Just Us Girls and for the Photo Challenge she has chosen this:

I thought the stars and colors would make a great masculine card.

I started out by stamping the stripes with an MFT background stamp, cut off the corner and added it to my card base.  The Altenew sentiment was stamped in the same color although it doesn't look like it.  The MFT stars were cut from a scrap of blue polka dot and plain red and scattered about.

What do you think of when you see the photo?  Want to see what the Design Team and our guest designer Lindsey did?  Head on over to Just Us Girls for plenty of inspiration.

Inspired By #119

You know those little stamps that you often overlook?  I decided that one of them would make a great card for Inspired By based on this photo.
See the bouquets on the fabric?  The one from BearWare by EbyE worked well to make my 'fabric'.
I forgot about the Woven Stripes that I got from C9 and that's what started the idea for my card.  I stamped, watercolored with DI and sprinkled the posies around.  The sentiment comes from Warm Fuzzies that I stamped on a FS tag and tied on some button thread to mimic that on the flowers.

Since this is the initial use of the background stamp and the sentiment, I'm also sending this to Darnell's NBUS challenge.
