I LOVE the moodboard that Denise found for us to be inspired by for the October Challenge. The colors are not the ones I normally use - but this moodboard made creativity go spinning - and out of it came a tag.

I used papers from 7 Dots Studio "All i Ever" collection together with Finnabair mediums like glass glitter, micro beads and texture pastes. All paints & mist comes from Tattered Angels - I used Glimmer Glam, Glimmer Glaze, Glimmer Mists, Baseboard Mists and High Impact Paint.

Plum Passion Mood Board - October Berry71Bleu Challenge

Hello Everyone

We have a fabulous new mood board for you this month.
It's Plum Passion! ;-)

You can create anything you like but we would just love to know what inspired you from the board.

I created an art journal page with the stunning colours from the board.

I used goodies from my scrap stash, which was really great, some BoBunny Ambrosia and some Graphic 45. These are from quite a few years ago and yet they still look fresh! ;-)

I had started my art journal journey a while back and sometimes I still need to remind myself that I need to really play and explore my creativity.
So hence the title of this page "Just Play".

Guest Designer Wilma Voermans

Today we would like to introduce the winner of our September Challenge and Guest Designer for October, Wilma Voermans.

I live in the mountains of the Swiss bernese oberland.
Paradise on earth...lucky me.
My scrapbooking style is not always the same, it can be artsy, but sometimes pictures ask for a romantic style.
I never know what I want to make when I start, I always go with the flow.
Mixed media is a must, I just cant do without it.
My new addiction is "lifeproject mixed media style".
I make my own backgrounds , this way I can turn my art journals and scrapping in a keepsake for my children.
Each one of my 8 children get a BIG memory book like this.
Great project that keepes me of the street , I need at least 10 more years to finish it .
So I really should give up smoking

When I saw the moodboard I knew which photos I wanted to use for this.
Here in the mountains where I live fall really starts when the cows come home .
In summer two "sennen" go up real high with the cows (and other animals) from the farmers in the village.
This way the farmers can take their harvest in. And the alps high up keep clean from grass.
Because they are so high up without electricity they use the milk to make the very special mountaincheese by hand.
It is a rough life up there.

So when they come home it is a big festival .
The cows wear flowers on their head , the ones who give the most milk in summer walk in front.
Everybody wears the traditional clothes and the mail "sennen" must have a beard when they come down.
I can't tell the whole story and traditions, it would take to much space.
In the pictures my son with his beard(hate it) and my grandson milo, who is 4 years old, but he manage the cows already.
The woman you see is the other sen ...she is a tough girl!
After the big party in the night fall can begin!

I was pretty excited to play with Gelli Arts 6x6 Gelli Plate and Speedball paint and created this fall canvas panel.

The Gelli Plate is awesome for creating background designs quickly. Then add some embellishments and some mediums and you are done!

Nature Is The Art Of God

Hi everyone, Debbie here with you today to share my take on Marivic's "Autumn Is In The Air" Challenge!  Fall is one of my favorite times of the year.  I love the cool, crisp air and the magnificent colors of the leaves when they change color.  I chose to make a canvas for my project.

It was quite an art adventure working with products from our sponsors this month, Speedball Art Products and Gelli Arts.  I started off with Speedball paint in dark yellow and added some additional paints in yellow and Orange.  I used a leaf stencil on my background but must admit as I added more layers of paint to my Gelli plate everything sort of blended in together.  I used a paper towel to dab some of the paint on my canvas and love the marbled effect it took on.

I added some stamping and masking to my canvas along with some misting and inking and flowers.
