It's Your Day by Cathi

This month we want to see a project based on an Early Year Birthday. Create a project about yourself, your children, a member of your family, or a special someone - an early year birthday celebration!  I have chosen to do a layout of my youngest daughter Aisling on her 2nd birthday. I used the gorgeous 7 Dots Studio Cold Country papers, cutouts and stickers for the base of my designs here.

On the photo above you can see some gorgeous UmWow Studio chipboard star and chevron confettis along with one of their flairs I used on the layout. I used a lot of stamping from the 7 Dots Studio  Cold Country clear stamp set. I used some of my Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays to color it!

I used the number 2 chipboard from Molossi and you can see another gorgeous Butterfly chipboard and star flair from UmWow Studio. I added just a few flowers and thread from my stash and journaled about my gorgeous little independent girl and how she inspires me every day!

Rise and shine - Tusia Lech

Hello :)

Here is Tusia Lech today with layout about my sweet boy, turning 5 on the photo. He tried to blow out the candle, thinking about his birthday wish :)

Hi Berry71Bleu fans! Dana here today sharing a birthday layout that I created for my husband. He turns 33 today! This photo was taken just minutes after he was born.

I had a lot of fun embellishing this file folder! I tucked several papers inside the photo that I copied from his baby album.

Happy 2! by Mandy

 Thank you, Denise for hosting this month's super fun challenge!  I created a "rustic" distressed country canvas using a photo of my great nephew.  The beautiful photo was taken by a local photographer - "Kylin Lyons Photography"  I was inspired by the "rustic" background in the photo.

This beautiful little boy turned 2 in September and I thought I'd create something special based on this month's theme.

I created a "stone work" background using a stencil, heavy gel and heat embossing using ultra thick clear powder.  I hand painted over the stenciled/embossed work.

Too bad I covered up some of the stencil work in the background but I wanted to add a little color using flowers.

I was going to tuck the photo inside the pocket seen at the left but it covered too much of the photo.  I cut a pocket off of an old pair of jeans and cut the pocket down the center then sewed in a zipper.

Early Birthday Years - November Challenge

Hello Everyone

We have a brand new challenge starting today - Early Birthday Years

These early Birthday years are always so special and so I thought it would be a super theme for a challenge.

This month we want to see a project based on an Early Birthday Year. Create a project about yourself, your children, a member of your family, or a special someone - an early birthday year celebration!

I created a layout of my sons 1st birthday and it was quite emotional for me, to think back to how small he was then and how he had just started walking.  He was walking a few steps, but still crawling in between. Now he is already 7 and I can't believe the years have passed so quickly.

I used the super,cute Our Lil' Monster collection from BoBunny.  The cute little birdhouses are Molossi chipboard, which I just inked.

I did some gesso stencilling and stamping on the background and a fair amount of fussy cutting.

The little monster holding the balloons was just too adorable and so I had to fussy cut and use him!;-)

I have a little journalling tag behind the photo.  This is the little bit of red cardstock you see peaking out. Such a special little boy!!

This cake my Mom made for Joe on his 1st birthday and it really was so special too.  He could not keep his hands off it and was delighted with it's cargo of sweets! ;-)

The memory of this special day is certainly treasured!!

So I really hope you will play along and tell us about an early Birthday year celebration too.
