Halloween!!!

We had so much fun this Halloween. We've always had fun before, but Wade's excitement and obsession with candy made it hilarious. Our family costumes came together late (I was at Good Will Saturday AM), but it turned out to be pretty funny....

FINDING NEMO: Darla (the niece that's supposed to get Nemo), Nemo, the scuba diving dentist, and of course the ferocious sharks.

I was a little disappointed with the shark costumes, but oh well. Notice Orwell's excitement about Halloween...

These are the only 2 pictures I could find of Darla to put together my costume....How did I do? Yes, I'm wearing retainers.
What a face!

That's much better...

We started the eveing at Mt. Bethel's Trunk or Treat. Even with the rain it was so much fun. I would definitely recommend it to anyone with toddlers. It's the easiest way to trick-or-treat and have a good time! Our tailgate complete with fog machines...

The Grays (Millie Kate was a little ladybug) and the Calverts were next to us....

Avery/Tigger picking out some candy...

Wade the jumping fool....

Beau looks like he's really enjoying himself...

Wade picks the perfect piece of candy, then....

puts it straight in his mouth. He didn't quite understand that we put the candy in our bucket, not mouth....

Yes, I realize he's dancing up a storm with a lollipop in his mouth. Not the safest thing in the world, but I'd like to see you try and stop him...

After Trunk or Treat, we met up with the Scooby Doo crew (the Crawfords) for more candy.

By the 3rd house Wade was saying something close to "trick-or-treat". It was so cute

Fred with Celie the skeleton, Shaggy, Scobby, and the Nemos

The boys were so freakin wired, they were running laps around the house and then steam rolling each other.

Please look at how happy Wade is. He loves playing with big boys.

Carving our Pumpkin

With all the Halloween celebrating going on, we almost forgot to carve our pumpkin. How dare us? What's Halloween without a carved pumpkin?

So we hastily carved our grinning Jack-o-lantern just in time for the main event. Wade wanted nothing to do with the gooey inside. He only wanted the knives. I don't think so.

Thankfully Beau took on the insides. Yuck!
Cali did offer good moral support (she probably thought we were eating something at the table she could grab a bite of)

I think it turned out pretty good, even if it was last minute!!

Halloween Hikes

My crazy family was all together on Halloween Eve to go to the Chattahoochee Nature Center Halloween Hikes.
(Enzo met us over there)

We all met up at our house to eat and get into costumes before heading over
I thought we were going to have a successful alien wearing evening....but that only lasted a few minutes, then we moved on to Nemo
The 6 pack of cousins: Caleb and Cae the bats, Wyatt the cowboy, Nemo (eating skittles), Ladybug Lauren, and Colt the pumpkin
Wade was so traumatized by the end of photos, we had to give him more skitttles. Look at that crocodile tear :(
Everybody loves Aunt Sheesha!
The festivities at the Nature Center were really fun for the kids. They had music, food, bonfire, face painting, and other crafty activities. Our party of 17 took over the place when we got there!!!

The Halloween Hikes are a night time trail walk where you encounter costumed "creatures" along the way. They tell you some educational and interesting facts about the themselves. The funny part about it is that back in high school when Grandpa Greg used to be the Director there, I volunteered as one of the animals. I think I even had to sing my script. But I can't remember what character I was. Hmmm? I guess it's already been so long.

The kids really seemed to enjoy it! Wade did get a little restless, so daddy bribed him with more candy. Are you seeing the trend of candy bribery here?
Diane, Enzo, and Colt
I want in on what's so funny!

It's always so much fun to be together with my whole family. Crazy....but fun! We had a blast. Can't wait to go again next year!!!

Nemo goes to school

"Nemo" celebrated Halloween at school with all his friends. All the kids dressed up, they had special orange treats, and even carved a pumpkin!

Dede stopped by on her way to class to teach Wade how to pucker like a real fish....

Sarah and little pumpkin Avery...

Wade and his teacher Miss Angela...
Spiderman and some princesses playing...

Monkey and Nemo (with favorite toy - the vacuum!)

Everyone's ready for a fun day...
