Grace's First Day of Kindergarten
Grace started Kindergarten! She was sooo excited! Her teacher is Mrs. Anderson. Grace is going to a charter school by Ben's work so he will be able to drop her off in the mornings. I took her the first day just in case Grace had any apprehensions about school. She didn't....she wanted me to drop her off at the curb and leave. When I insisted on taking her in she was annoyed and kept telling me to leave. I didn't really get a chance to be sad about her starting school because she was being such a stinker. I guess she's always been totally independent and she is so ready for this new adventure! Plus she looks adorable in her uniform!

Farm Country
Back in June, when Sophie was brand new, and I was exhausted, and Grace was stir crazy, she begged to go to the farm almost everyday. She would frequently tell me that we needed to get out of the house, and then suggest the farm. We finally made it two days before she started school. The baby cow was really glad she came, it kept trying to eat her leg.

We waited in line FOREVER to ride the ponies, but it was worth it. The kids loved it!

Sophie was perfect like always, just hanging out and happy to be there. I LOVE that baby!

Grace told me the other day that I will be happy to have her gone to school so she won't be around to maul Sophie. That poor baby does get A LOT of love from her sister!

We were wiped out from the heat, but I'm glad we made it to the farm this summer!

S'mores
St. George trip
We were able to take a trip to St. George the second week of august. We stayed at my Aunt Kayseri house and we had an amazing time! The kids shared a bed and it was so cute to see them snuggling and loving each other!

We got in late Saturday night. On Sunday we went to the visitors center @ the temple.

We have very few pictures of all 5 of us together, so here we are!

The kids had fun playing on the steps of the temple.

My sister Michelle and her son Logan came up from Arizona to enjoy our vacation with us. We were so excited to see them and have them meet Sophie!

On Monday we went to Snow Canyon and did a little hiking.

It was a little steep going up, but we made it!

We found a really fun hole in the rock.

Sophie was a champ and slept most of the time. It was HOT, and we were both a little sweaty in this wrap.

We decided to cool off that afternoon at the Splash Park,

With a carousel ride,

And some ice-cream cones!

After thoroughly wearing the kids out we went home for some late naps. We needed them since the girls were going out to see Little Mermaid at Tuachan! Grace was soooo excited! She also looked very beautiful.

We had been looking forward to this since March!

Grace was a trooper and stayed awake the whole time. We didn't head home until midnight! Grace was so excited to stay awake late like a grownup! She was super shy when it was her turn to meet Prince Eric and Ariel. They were very sweet with her and made her feel special. It was such a fun girls night! Hands in....1,2,3, girls night! That was the cheer Grace made up.

We spent the rest of our trip shopping and playing and relaxing. It was the perfect relaxing fun vacation! Thanks to Aunt Kay for generously opening her home to us and for talking, laughing, and sharing fun memories with us!

Lehi Children's Parade
Grace was soooo excited to be in the Children's parade this year. Her primary teacher was in charge of the float and Grace wouldn't stop talking about. The floats theme was Dinosoars and Grace wanted to be a pterodactyl.....a pink one. This was the best I could do 3 weeks after having a baby. Ben walked the parade with Grace and they both got their faces painted.

Playing in the Sun
We have had such a relaxed summer! It has been great for having a new baby. One of our favorite activities has been playing in the pool/slip n slide/sprinklers out front with all of our friends. Here is Noah, Garett, and Weston enjoying the seemingly endless supply of Popsicles.

Grace looks awesome here soaking in the sun.

Sophie @ 2 months
Sophie has been such a joy to have! She rarely cries, sleeps well, and gives the sweetest smiles. I have loved her newborn stage! She is growing well. She is 24 in long (96%) and 11 lbs 6 oz (67%). Things I love about Sophie- her hair, how she rarely spits up, how her body molds into mine as she snuggles, how she loves her binkie, how she tolerates her sisters loving, how fun it is to dress her up! Happy 2 months Soph, life is way better with you around!
