Hi friends, had so much fun creating with this collection!  This is our brand new Home for the Holidays collection from Heartfelt Creations.  Perfect for all those holiday projects and cards.  

I created this little Christmas ornament featuring the little red truck and snow scene.

Inks:  Distress ink (rustic wilderness, mowed lawn, candied apple)

Image Colored With:  Prismacolor Color Pencils (Periwinckle, Blue Lake, Cool Grey 50%, Black, Light Peach, Peach Beige, Dark Brown, Crimson Red, Tuscan Red, Deco Yellow, Sunburst Yellow, Chartreuse, Dark Green), OMS

Paper:  89lb. AW Curious Iridescent Cryogen White cardstock, Chipboard

Accessories:  3/8” Green Ribbon, Green and red beads, Gold jingle bells, Silver flat head pins, foam dots

Instructions:  

Finished size of ornament is 4 1/2” wide by 4 1/4” tall by 1/2” deep.

For my ornament I created a small shadow box with chipboard, slightly bigger than the stamped image.  You can also use a small box for this step.  Pick you favorite image from the patterned paper for the inside scene, cut to fit box, cut coordinating paper for inside and outside of box, glue paper to chipboard and cover all sides of box.

Attach beads with flat head pins to box.  Add ribbon to the jingle bells and attach as pictured.

Stamp scene from ‘Home for the Holidays’ set 6 times on white cardstock with black memento ink.  Cut all images with coordinating die.  Now depending on how many layers you want to crate on the scene, you can just use the dies and cut those images or you can also use scissors and cut apart the scene to layer and create more depth like I did on my project.  Once all pieces are cut color with color pencils.  Layer all pieces to create a dimensional scene as pictured, glue to shadow box with foam dots.

Stamp poinsettias, leaves, branches, cardinals, berries on white cardstock with respective colors, cut with coordinating dies.  Color all images and shape.  

Add stamens to poinsettias as pictured.  Glue poinsettia, leaves, branches and all other pieces as pictured.  Glue arrangement to shadow box as pictured with hot glue, add a couple of branches to back side as pictured to cover hot glue.  Add frosting powder to scene where desired for sparkle, add frosting powder to edge of shadow box as pictured.

Instructions:  

The finished size of my project is 6 1/2” x 6 1/2” x 1/2”.  

To build the shadow box, you can find the tutorial I followed Here

Please see sketch template for the exact size of my box and number of pieces needed.

Cut a piece of white cardstock 6 1/2” x 6 1/2” for back of shadow box and a matching piece of your favorite patterned paper design.  Glue patterned paper to cardstock, glue frame to cardstock.  Cut 4 pieces of patterned paper to match sides of shadow box, score and glue to frame as pictured.

Cut Royale Gateway from white cardstock.  Cut two pieces of clear transparency to match the side panels on the gate making sure to add 1/4” on one side and bottom, score at 1/4” and fold.  Glue these pieces to either side of the box, glue gate to transparency panels, this will make your gate more sturdy.

Stamp leaves and flowers on deluxe flower shaping paper, cut with coordinating dies.  Color as desired, shape Clematis flowers and leaves with coordinating 3D shaping mold.  Shape wisteria petals with flower shaping kit.  Add flower stamens to clematis, for mine I colored them with a yellow alcohol marker.

Stamp birdhouse image 3 time on white cardstock with Watering Can Archival ink, cut with coordinating die.  Stamp birds on white cardstock with same ink and cut with coordinating die.  Color images with Prismacolor Color pencils.  For my birdhouse I gave it more dimension by layering the birdhouse and some of the flowers with foam dots.  

Glue birdhouse to gate with foam dots, glue leaves and flowers making the corner arrangements as pictured.  Glue little birds.

Add glitter to flower petals.  Add mini prills to centers of small wisteria flowers.

Instructions:  Finished size of shadow box is 6 1/4” x 6 1/4”.  Take shadow box base and cut teal patterned paper panels to fit the sides and front as pictured, glue to base.  Cut a scene panel for the inside background of shadowbox, add some glue to top edge of panel and glue to base.  Cut 3 pieces from green cardstock with border dies from Fleur Border set (these pieces will make the little mountains in the scene), shade with green ink and glue to the 3 flaps on the shadowbox base.

Stamp the following images on white cardstock with black ink, 2-campers, yard table-umbrella set, planters, scooter, drink bucket, fire pit, flower border, dog, birds, welcome signs.  Stamp several of the fences, flower plants, flag banners.  Cut all pieces with coordinating dies, color all images with color pencils.

Stamp all flowers and leaves on Deluxe Flower Shaping paper with the following inks - Floral Fashionista flowers with pink ink, Cherry Blossom flowers with yellow ink, leaves with Olive green ink.  Cut with coordinating dies, shade flowers with same colors as stamped.  Shade leaves with mowed lawn and twisted citron distress inks.  Shape all flowers and leaves with coordinating 3D shaping molds, finish off shaping with Flower shaping kit.  Add flower stamens to all your flowers.

Create a scene with all your images, glue them to the 3 layers on your shadowbox base, for some of the images I used small foam dots to give them more dimension.  Close shadow box and secure flaps with glue, add a panel of patterned paper to back of shadow box.

Glue banner flags, flower border to front of shadow box, create an arrangement with the flowers and leaves on either side of the banners as pictured.  Glue 2 little birds as pictured.  Add a touch of glitter to flowers.
