Hi Sweetie Pies!...
Happy Easter! I hope the Easter Bunny hopped by
your house this morning and left you a little basket of treats, or maybe a pot
of your favorite springtime flowers. ;)
There was such a beautiful selection of potted flowers at
the grocery store the other day. All the lovely spring bulbs we usually see
this time of year. I chose some mini daffodils for my mom and
sister.
Do you have anything special planned for today? Is an
Easter egg hunt or an Easter parade on your agenda? It's fun to watch everyone
stroll by in their beautiful Easter bonnets...and sometimes, sort of kooky
Easter bonnets as well!
When I was in 5th grade our school held an Easter bonnet
parade. We all had to create our own bonnets to wear for it. My friend
Stephanie and I, created a "bonnet for two". Using cardboard and oak tag, we
cut two holes in the base (brim) that fit snugly onto the tops of our heads, and
then we added more oak tag so that when it was finished it looked like two top
hats connected together on one big hat brim. Then we made a bunch of tissue
paper flowers in all sorts of colors, and we glued them all over our hat. (Talk
about kooky!) Stephanie and I held arms as we walked very closely together in
the school parade around the field...and we won first prize for our hat too! Such a fun memory. :)

Little spring lambs danced about my work table this past
week! (These pins are sold)

In my last post I spoke about how I'm enjoying
collecting vintage, animal, salt and pepper shakers. Here are a couple of cute
sets, perfect to decorate an Easter table with. Look at how cute these two bunnies are. He's winking and hiding a carrot
behind his back!
...and these are just plain adorable!
Whether you're celebrating Easter or Passover or just a
beautiful day, I hope you have lots of fun! See you again next
week!

ReplyDeleteSuch a cute assortment of bunnies (including the wee fellow beside your name!) and I can see why your little lambs are sold already.
ReplyDeleteHello Paulette Dear. Happy Easter Blessings as I am catching up with your posts I have missed. Your collection of S&P shakers is adorable. How very Joyful to search and acquire such cuties. As for your felt pins I am continuing to be in LOVE with how much details and beauty you stitch into each and every creation. Lovely Works of Art! Creative Bliss...
ReplyDeleteVery cute bunnies and spring lambs! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pins and the bunnies are just adorable! Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteI'm gone on lambs these days. I decided I like lambs better at Easter than bunnies and such. I feel they're appropriately symbolic, so when you made those lambs... I'm way gone on them now. They're adorable. The creativity and craftswomanship are incredible. Precious!
ReplyDeleteHappy week,
Kelley~
Those little lambs are adorable! We made a quick trip to Minnesota, taking daughter Joanne and granddaughter Sophia home. After dropping them off, we headed over to daughter Andrea's for the night. Lily and Ella searched for Easter eggs in the morning. When all were accounted for, six-year-old Ella announced that she found one more egg. Everyone started looking around for it. I was pleasantly surprised when Ella jumped into my arms and pointed out my beautiful Beedeebabee Easter egg! Thanks for helping to make my Easter egg-stra special this year!
ReplyDeleteAs always another beautiful post. It makes my heart so happy to read your posts. Happy Easter to you and your family. I hope you had a great day.
ReplyDeleteWe had an Easter egg hunt for the kiddies. It was so much fun. It was wonderful to spend the day with family we love.
God Bless you Paulette, I just love your work. What a treat to look at all the beautiful pins.
My nephew and I made a traditional Italian full pie for Easter. It was so good.
Love you Honey,
Aunt Bea
Happy late Easter to you, Aunt Bea! Sounds like you had such fun. :) I think I know what you're talking about in regard to your "traditional Italian full pie". It may be the same thing as what my family calls apizzakeen, (the spelling is off on that one!) or pizzarustica. A deep dish pie made of pizza dough, stuffed with all sorts of cheeses, sliced hard boiled eggs, dried sausage and bits of diced Italian cold cuts. Is that the same thing? ...Thank you for all the sweet things you wrote. You're always so kind. Blessings and love to you as well, Aunt Bea. xoxo
DeleteYour lamb pins are wonderful, love their faces! And thanks for sharing pictures of the bunny salt and pepper shakers. They are so cute.
