Hint of Christmas with Handi Scandi

Hello everyone, I'm here to share with you some cards I made using the cheerful Handi Scandi range.

The patterns in this range are brilliant and you are spoilt for choice from the patterns printed on white or kraft backgrounds.
I made this card using the tear drop paper which I punched a small hole either side so I could tie three strands of twine around.  Next I punched three circles from the Handi Scandi Meadows paper and added them to the twine and embellished them silver gems.

Supplies :
Twinery Twine - Marigold, Maraschino, Ocean Stripe

The card below mixes the kraft side of the paper with the more geometric side.  In the blue dotty paper I die cut some circles so I could use them as a window to show the lines of twine which I had glued to a strip of paper.

Supplies :
Twinery Twine - Gold Shimmer

And of course with Christmas around the corner there is a fab sheet with a glittered stag on it so I decided to change him in to Rudolph and made a little Christmas cheer to send!

Hopefully you will have arrived here from {Suzanna Lee's} blog
(don't worry you can join in from here if you have only found out about the hop!)

I had so much fun creating this layout for the blog hop with product from

I swirled some of the twine on to the white card stock and used this as a 'backing paper' before I added some of the Ruby Rock-It Handi Scandi papers.

Inspired by my children's obsessions with funky bracelets, I used the yellow twine to create a friendship bracelet which I added to the bottom of the photos as a border.

Beckie Dreyer <==== You Are Here!!

So here is what I made for the blog hop ....

With the Ruby Rock-It theme all about love and weddings this month I couldn't wait to use some of the product from the Bella! Wedding range.  I also used the 'Solid Blossom' Bakers Twine and created a heart by creating a daisy chain knot in the twine,  it helps to give some texture to the card.

I also made a little butterfly using a large length of the 'Solid Strawberry' twine which I kept folding in half until I was happy with the size.  I then tied another piece around the centre before trimming the ends off.  I finished it with some coiled wire and a gem stone.

It's now time to hop on over to Natalie Clause blog for more inspiration!

MLS and The Twinery Blog Hop

Welcome to the My Little Shoebox and The Twinery blog hop who have joined together to bring you loads of inspiration and prizes all week long.

Hopefully you will have come over from Stacy Rodriguez blog.

I was so excited when we were asked if we wanted to join in the swap with The Twinery ... gorgeous vibrant colours of beautiful twine to decorate your pages with!

Here is my creation for the hop ----->

Products Used :
My Little Shoebox Aiko Flowers Die Cuts
My Little Shoebox Aiko One Fine Day
My Little Shoebox Aiko March
My Little Shoebox Aiko Happy Notes
My Little Shoebox Aiko Lipstick and Sage
My Little Shoebox Aiko Cardstock Sticker
The Twinery Denim Twine
The Twinery Buttercream Twine
The Twinery Stone Twine

Once I had cut out the inside of the circle die cut out I wrapped the twine around the scallops on the right hand side to create some lines to suspend some punched out hearts on.

I used three twines together to create a border around the layout.  I also wound a length of the twine together to make some centres for the flowers and also some dots.

Don't miss a chance to win make sure that you leave a comment of each of the blog to be entered to win the fantastic prizes, here's the hop order and links for the hop today ....
