If you didnt then hop right over to the start which you will find is at the incredibly talented Barbara'sBlog.

I got too play with the adorable Lady Lola and what better place for her to be than on the Make It Crafty background of the red carpet.

(Which is soo fitting for me cos I am writing this suffering from a slight hangover, having been lucky enough to attend the Glamour Awards yesterday (Tuesday), yep I got to mingle with the stars for the night and walk on the red carpet and even though I was there working it was an amazing experience.)

Oops back to my project which is why your here really. LoL

Yep I am still on a bag kick really loving doing these! this one is a bit bigger than the others I had so made my image a bit bigger than normal, so I have used both Copics and Prisma Pencils to colour.
I have used flowers from Wild Orchid, feathers and paper that I seem to have had for ages, but cant remember where from.
I hope this has inspired you in some small way and now you are of to see the fantastic creation made by the Green Godess herself Leila
Have fun and enjoy the rest of the hop.

Sheer Clothing - Make It Colourful DT

Were changing things slightly at Make It Colourful - so that you get more time to experiment with your colouring for the challenges were going over to fortnightly challenges. The Challenges will now be posted on the Friday so that you get all weekend to play and then you will have until the Wednesday of the second week to upload your project into our Challenge Gallery. (Dont worry this is a colouring challenge so if you haven't made your colouring into anything, it is still acceptable)

(and yep I know it is now Sunday and I am only just posting, but had a bit of a week hubby has just had a pacemaker fitted, so been backwards and forwards to the hospital, he's all home now and recovering well) luckily the Make It Colourful team have a real understanding Boss in Zoe who knows that for a lot of these challenges it is our first time trying them as well so she doesnt mind us being a little late.

This fortnights challenge was most definetly a first time for me and I am going to say it my self just in case no one else does lol - I am real pleased with how it turned out. (Six months ago I wouldnt have even attempted this, lol, thanks Zoe for pushing us)

I used Angelica Prays from the new Christmas Collection.

Hopefully I have managed to keep her modesty with my Sheer dress! I wasnt to sure how to tackle this challenge until I watched the 'you tube' video the link is on the Make It Colourful Challenge Site.

I first coloured her body with Copics and then did the dress using a red Derwent Pencil and Sansador. The hardest part was working out which way the folds went in order to get the shading in the righ places, not saying that what I have done here is right, but I think I have the right idea.

Hope you give this a try.

That naughty little elf has only gone and lit the fuse.

and his poor little mate is off into space, well as far as the snowflake turning lets him go lol.

My next project was inspired by Jo at Ally Pally on sunday, where she reminded me of a technique 'caught in crystal' (which many moons ago we did with Klear floor Varnish - just a little bit sticky and smelly lol. Clear Laquer works soo much better. Thanks Jo.

I made my Caught in Crystal into a cracker and added one of the not soo naughty elves from the new Make It Crafty Christmas range.

Now you need to pop on over to Carole

We hope you've enjoyed the hop and make sure you head on over to Zoe's personal blog and wish her a Happy Birthday!

White Mist - Make it Colourful DT

Our challenge this week is to create a white mist. The Spooky Graveyard was just perfect for this challenge.

I wanted the mist to be emenating from the tombs so I used a mask and then added Colour Box Pigment White, over it with a sponge and color brush.

The cute little Vampire is Batty Baxter.

I used a tree mask in the cuttlebug and then sanded the background paper, which I then nigh on covered up lol.

You really NEED to pop over to the challenge gallery and see what my talented teamies have done, they are AWESOME.

OOOOOHHHHHHH almost forgot were gonna have a blog hop next week so stick the date in your diary cos you really wont want to miss this one!!!!!!!!!!

This weeks challenge at Make It Colourful is to colour with Black and Orange, ideal if you want to make a start on Halloween Cards.
Although we dont really do to much for Halloween here in Blighty I just so fell in love with the new houses from Make It Crafty which are ideal for Halloween.

Being part of the best DT in blogland has so many perks and the best one is I got to play with the Witch House I can see soo many uses for this image apart from Halloween I'm thinking fairytales Red Riding Hood, Snow White, Hansel and Gretel the list goes on lol.

We then have some great images from the Mini Monztagalz Collection Morticia and Gothilia

Purple Passion! Make It Colourful

Hiya everyone we have a new challenge for you at MAKE IT COLOURFUL Today we want you to show us what you can do with the colour PURPLE. Yep a nice and easy one this week we just wanna see you colour your project with PURPLE oh you can use other colours too it doesn't have to be monochrome.

This could be your chance to start on those halloween cards!

Well followers of my blog may know I was a bit of a numpty (nothing unusual there) and burnt my fingers so haven't done much in the way of colouring but last night took the bull by the horns or the copics by the fingers and managed to do a bit of colouring, didnt get chance to make them into a card or anything, but thats the best bit about the MAKE IT COLOURFUL challenges its all about the colouring not the finished article so dont worry if you dont get chance to finish a complete project as long as you have done the colouring your good to go.

Are you still with me? In that case I better show you what I did!

This is Zoe all Excited

Purple Copic Colours I used are  BV04; BV02; BV01; BV000

I also had a play merging images from the Urban Collections

I used images by Make It Crafty
Factory Elements
Urban Objects
Urban Street

With a couple of kenny K images

Treasure Where? Purple and Yellow

Yoohoo its the weekend and we got a bank holiday happy days. Hopefully I will be able to catch up with things and get a bit of quality craft time!

Of course being Saturday it means that we have a new challenge for you at Make It Colourful and this week we want to see the colours Purple and Yellow dont forget this is a colouring challenge so you must use those colours in your colouring NOT the papers.

I had a problem with my printer this week, it decided not to print :-( after I had already coloured Alvida the pirate for my card I had nothing printed to go with her so decided to abandon her and go with another image that I had printed out on cheapo paper to check out the size, all things considered it didnt turn out too badly but found that the darker colours tended to sit on the paper to long. Had to keep the papers simple as have very few to go with the colour scheme so hopefully made up with it by the abundance of flowers and flourishes.

For this card I have used
Miss Charlotte
and I have placed her on
Lonely Island
I also used some of my precious new flourishes
Fine Swirls
which I coloured with Purple Stickles with flowers from Wild Orchid, the little white roses I was lucky enough to win in a blog candy from
Deb's.

Copics
I used BV04, BV02, BV01, BV00, BV0000 for her top I used Y08, Y06, Y02, and for the sand I used
Y17, Y35, YR23, YR21

Hubby did manage to sort of get my printer working yesterday when I got home from work and so managed to print out some bits to finish my card with Alvida, who I think is the cutest little pirate ever.

Of course Alvida can be got from Make it Crafty in digital or rubber format, but for those in the UK you can now get the Make It Crafty rubber stamp range from Quixotic Paperie

Pictures im afraid are not too good whether was really dark by the time I managed to get photos of these, but here is a close up Of Alvida in all her glory (hmmm that sounds like she should be nude lol) it doesnt show well but I have shaped her a little bit and mounted her on foam pads so she is dimensional I also raised the treasure chest so she could really stand on it.

I tried a few different effects with the Map I started of using a tea Bag and dying it to get a real old effect, it looked great except the print ran and didnt leave her too many clues as to where to start digging lol. Oh for a laser printer! I next tried burning the edges which was okay till I went a bit far and almost set light to myself lol. So settled instead with good old Tea dye distress inks.
The sentiment got the same treatment.
Supplies used
Pirate Talk
Alvida

Treasure Map

I used the same copic colours as above.

Well if your still with me the best news about the challenge this week is our fabulous sponsor
Magnolia-LiciousSo to be in with a chance to get a great prize from Magnolia-Licious you need to get those colours out!

And for those that love their rubber, Zoe has them too, but for those of you in the UK you can now get Zoe's fab rubber from Quixotic Paperie who is also our sponsor this week.

I kinda kept the card simple and just added some of Zoe's gorgeous laser cut swirls which I coloured with Shimmerz, with a few flowers from Wild Orchid.

Oh well better get off my butt and get some cleaning done cos I am off tomorrow to meet up with Jackie and Bev of Lili of the Valley fame for a fun day of colouring.

Colouring Skies - Make It Colourful DT

Wow its the weekend and I.m soo hoping the weather stays as nice as its been all week, but have you noticed that whilst your at work the weather is gorgeous and come the weekend it turns rubbish!!!!!! Oh well fingers crossed, but hopefully if blogger posts this properly I will be in the mad stampede at the Ally Pally stamp show.

Today we have a new challenge for you at Make it Colourful and we want to see Coloured Skies, this can be in any way you fancy, I have used Broken China distress Inks and torn paper for a soft look, but you can get out your copics (my oh so talented teamie Annika fondly known as Niks has done a fabulous tutorial for copic skies) or you may like pencils or water colours, the choice is yours and we cant wait to see what you come up with.

For my card I have used the Kissing Booth from the carnival collection at Make it Crafty. I teamed it with the Magnolia stamp Brotherly Love.

This was the card that I was going to do for last weeks cxhallenge till I printed over my coloured image lol.

Hopefully you can see the sky a little better in this pic, I love the effect that you get from this technique but it doesnt show up too well cos the card is pearlescent and the light keeps bouncing back, but I think you can just about get the idea.
The sentiment is from one of the Patchwork Polly sets.

Make It Colourful DT - Blending Green and Yellow

Yay it's the weekend and that means it's time for a new challenge at Make It Colourful,  this week we want to see you blending

Yellow and Green.

This is a great combination for foliage!

Just got to mention here that last week we had a challenge just for the kiddies and OMG the entries were incredible some of the talent is amazing. ~So huge thanks to all who took part and a big congratulations to you all on the amazing work you produced.

Just to make this challenge a bit more interesting we have another new sponser for you this week, the incredibly talented Chrissy Armstrong

I was lucky enough to be given one of Chrissy's gorgeous images to play with and I chose Gracie's Roses which you can find Here hasn't she got just the cutest face. I made a background for her using digi stamps from our very own Zoe at Make It Crafty where you can get loads of different scene digis as well as some real cute characters, oh and she is doing rubba now too!

I used Daffodil Dell, Peaches of Plenty and Petals and Palings to make my scene.

I made Gracie in three layers to give her plenty of dimension and fixed her on with silicone. The copics I used for her dress are YG00, YG000, YG05 AND YG06.

Flowers are Wild Orchid and DP is a sheet from one of the new paper stacks that I swore I was not going to buy until I had used all the paper I had in my craft cupboard and that is an awful lot, but I just couldnt resist the Prima papers at the Craft Barn this one is from the Botanical Collection. swirls were cut on my cuttlebug I think a Marianne D die.

Ok enough waffle from me, hope you get chance to join us this week.

Kiddies Challenge at Make It Colourful,

Wow have we got something special this week! This week the team at  Make It Colourful are having a week off and leaving it all to the kiddies and wow have they done some AWESOME colouring.

The challenge for the Kiddies is to colour something PINK my little grandson is only 8 weeks old so I guess this was a bit beyond him even though he is super cute so I pinched Barbara's kids, ok no Barbara didnt really let me pinch her kids but she did let me show off the fantastic colouring that they did - Im gonna have to be careful cos I reckon they will soon be after my spot lol.

This first card was done by Cassandra who is aged 7 she has used the kitchen scene from Make It Crafty

and this fantastic creation was done by Lydia and yep she is only 4 dont you just love that pink frog, it looks like Lydia really had great fun with Mums punches too.

Why dont you get your kids to join in the fun this week as I know that there is going to be a special prize just for the kids from Zoe this week.
