New projects

I have a whole bunch of new stuff I want to make at the moment. I started to make a list, and it was getting a bit big!

this list...and more!

I've got some spankin' great fabric to do it with...

A new blanket has been cast on for Henry.

And I've joined in a monthly sampler... those deer sucked me right in!

I'm revisiting the hexies too, a nice quick craft for the couch. the plan is to make some purses for a market stall I'm thinking of doing in March...

I had to show off this great sheet set I was gifted by Cam, either to use as sheets or cut up for quilts.

Definitely to make something for this little dude! 5 weeks and he fits into this size 0 vintage onesie (found in Little Miss' old toy clothes :) )

My place and yours- My Collection

I am joining in this week with this Pip, with a theme suggested by Kate over at her place. Like lots of ones I've read, it's so hard to pin it down- I guess crafters and stashers may be bordering on hoarders? Or maybe we see the art everywhere we look (I like the latter explanation the best too!)
So I'll proudly show off my collection of old kids books- a never finished collection, as I'm always stumbling upon in my travels.

I love my Sesame Street one....
the Enid Blyton (some from when I was young)

Charlie Brown 'Cyclopedia's (I love the name Funk n' Wagnells, that was the attraction!)

and odds and bods that are mostly my old ones, but some newbies too.

Of course, they are all in the girl's room, destined to be read and loved by her as she grows. I have had to build an adult collection of books, and work is SUCH a good excuse! This is one shelf in my study.....

as I said, bordering on hoarding? As my friend reminded me, Andy Muirhead from The Collectors said that "two is a pair, three is a collection".

Gratuitous child shots

Ok, don't say I didn't warn you. But this one is about why you should have children and make them do funny things.

This one goes to bed in triple vintage Sesame Street- bottom sheet, top sheet and doona cover. Because she loves me. Why else?

This puppy (ok, not a true child, but out of photo order) sits as still as a post in the bath, but once done- rubbing his head (to get all the 'clean' off?) on his couch.

"Gee, Mum, couldn't you buy a new shower cap? Don't you have a pattern for one?"

"Is there something on my lip? What, what's so funny?"

Ahh, the fun you can have. And it has been edited to keep it clean, don't worry! :)

Oh, by the way, for more cute things, head over here for a giveaway, oh yummy gnomes!
