Blogtoberfest Day 18?

Oops, losing track of the days here, I think this is right!

A quick My Creative Space tonight.

I love it when you make something for someone, and they like them so much they want more! These, and few more, are on their way to The Retreat, to keep the furniture looking it's best as long as possible haha. Oh, and to give me a good way to use up all the good scraps I collect!

I haven't played along for ages. Keep forgetting. But am in the middle of something, that won't drag on for weeks (I hope).

I haven't joined in for a while, never seem to be organised on a Thursday! And the laptop has been playing up- Google anything not working well, an Outlook fail, and it's off to get serviced soon. 

Today it's allowing me to blog (so far so good)

So I'm finally getting around to basting this big one together. I think I started it about a year ago? I made the king size (in for a penny, in for a pound) and plan to hand quilt it similar to the pattern instructions. There is a flickr group I'll try and add pics to as well.

The hand basting has nearly done my back in though- it's sticky taped to the floor of the lounge room (couches all moved out) and I've been working on it each night. (quilt is too big for table tennis table, and it's too cold out in the garage anyway!) 4 nights so far. Nearly done.

I plan many nights on the couch hand quilting this winter!

So the last few nights have been cutting and fusing....

Ta Da! They managed to be finished by tonight. I love my Echino one, perfect for our summer holiday by the beach! And I love that my girl has the spunkiest hat in school (lets hope it doesn't go 'missing' for 3mths this time)

She said she'd 'out' me on my own blog, but I told her I told her I was proud to show off my

buttons...er, snaps and buttons sewn on top. Shh!

I've been productive this week, but thought I'd show my next projects:

 the top right pattern is for a fellow blogger, can't wait to get stuck into that!

The rest are for moi- at $5 a pattern, couldn't say no!

Little Miss also scored- this pattern was $14.95, kid's size 4-12. The corduroy she picked was reduced to $5 and $1 a metre, and there's some fur here in the stash she wants in the hood. That scares me a little (sewing the fur, I mean).

Cam got her into the fabric markers at her place on Saturday, they are a great idea,

 I want her to embellish some tees this winter!

Yesterday I got stuck into a new bag (for moi) that I've had cut out for ages.

The fabric was on the $8 a metre table at GJ's, not sure what it's called; pattern by Nikki.

Oh, yay, I remembered to photograph AND post on a Thursday for a change, so am playing along again this week.

It's a busy one, creativity wise- a 7 yr b'day party on not much money, plus trying to make something different than an outfit etc.

I saw an idea over here that I refashioned in my brain, and this is how it's looking so far....

I hope it carries over to tomorrow (my creativity, that is, NOT the project) and I make a masterpiece using this mould.

The child asked if they would use this on Masterchef, I said of course!

The end results will be after the weekend!

I have a bag to repair for a friend, and am making myself a new frock/ Liverpool tunic

for the market next week!

Well, I decided what to do with my half square triangles-  I can't remember how I found this, but I liked it!

My version has a bit missing- luckily I ordered some more of Etsy last week to do a pieced backing,. this I'll squeeze out a few more triangles!

 And the biggest thrill of the...err, day? 1st mango of the season! She always leaves me the seeds!

 Thinking I'll buy a box this year!
