Ooops, better draw the giveaway!

So it's been three weeks since I announced my giveaway- and I have plenty opf good reasons for it taking so long!

but, you don't need to here all the ins and outs of my life...and finally succumbing to the dreaded headcold/ manflu thing

So, thanks to the Random Number Generator

means that number 17 is the winner!!

I then counted down the list (which was alphabetical) and the winner is

I'll get Juddie's details and send her pressie off- which is the prefect colors for her gorgeous little man...

For no real reason....

 Actually, I lie.

There's a few reasons for this give-a-way- yep (you read it right, a give-a-way!)
So I've missed a few milestones lately, my 4 year blogaversary on the 10th of July, and my 700th post (this is 704, so I didn't miss it by too much). In celebration, and in getting back into selling my hand made items (cos lets face it, my house is full!) I have opened a Facebook page!

Heard over to my Facebook page and click 'Like"; alternatively, come back over to my blog and become a 'Follower".  Leave a comment letting me know you've done one or the other, and you're in the draw!

The prize? A lunch bag, made a while ago, but still pretty cool in my opinion! Insulated with thermal stuff (keeps food cold if you use an ice brick), and cool colours for adults or kids. It's lined with clear vinyl too, so any leaks get wiped out.

I look forward to drawing this one! When? Maybe 2 weeks time? I'll give you a few days warning teehee.

BTW, if you already 'like' me and are a follower, still leave a comment, as you'll also go in the draw! Just to say thanks.....

Ahhh, The Retreat!

Yay, I'm back, baby! Gosh, computer problems are a pain, aren't they? I seem to have sorted them out, well, I paid a couple of 'geeks' to, so hope it stays working!

There's heaps to catch up on, less computer time means producing, but my first post is all about this place! My Internet/ IRL friend Abbe has opened this amazing place- 45mins from Melbourne! Fully renovated and beautifully styled, I was lucky enough to stay one of the nights over the opening weekend, and was spoilt rotten! Thanks to Abbe, and Julie, Fi and Blogless Faith, as well as a few other visitors, I had a ball.

As usual, I forgot to charge my camera battery, so I've borrowed some pics from Cam and Julie.

There is a fully equipped sewing room;

Gorgeous and inviting kitchen; plenty of space for everyone to accumulate in there, as often happens!

See? huge.

with an adjoining living area. Good for naps apparently.

and a 2nd living space. (Bowl put there for size comparison haha or more likely it's a 'hiding from the others to eat the chips' room!)

There are five bedrooms, each with 2 double beds, and built in robes. Linen and towels are all provided, so you only need to pack your craft! (Just sew new clothes!)

Another bedroom;

Another bedroom. This has a walk in robe and ensuite off it, just beautiful!

the downstairs bathroom has a tub, and a shower BETTER than mine at home, making it very hard to get out. I don't know many places that can claim that!

Other pics and reviews over here, with Nic and Bronwyn.

Abbe is having an awesome giveaway; it has my name all over it and I plan on winning (full marks for confidence, right?) but is free for anyone to enter, either by blogging about it or booking a stay. And with a 20% discount at the moment, anyone crazy enough NOT to do it?

Just remember to invite me, 'kay?

De-Stashing

A few weeks ago, I had a friend come and force help me get rid of some of my fabric I wasn't going to use. I've only hung onto it for like, forever! So a giveaway is happening!

I took a few different angles, as you can see there is a fair bit. A range of colours, and some kids prints in there. The rule of the giveaway is

you must be able to either pick up fabric, or be willing to pay the postage.

Email for a postage quote if you want postage, otherwise go ahead and comment!

Edit: I'll draw it a week from posting!

Finally! Part 1

I have been struggling for a few days to post this, but 'computer says noooo".
But here 'tis!

I made a pressie for my lil' sis's couch, kind of an engagement present (as a lead up to the wedding present, of course!). Ink and Spindle scrap pack, bought at the awesome open warehouse day.

I added a scrap of Pippijoe, too, so cute!

The back is a piece of vintage linen, and the verdict was a good one!

I also got extreeemly lucky the other week, I mistakenly entered 2 giveaways for the same book (I don't normally do that, I try and give everyone a chance), and would you believe I won both giveaways?

I was so excited, I got the 2nd book withdrawn, and received my copy for the US in record time. And now I can a whole new lot of inspiration, and a new blog to follow!

I'll be back later (depending on computer) to show you more goodies I've recieved lately!

Raffle Number One!

I, like the rest of the country, have been watching the floods in disbelief, amazed our country can provide floods and bush fires at the same time!

Disappointed I can't afford to donate any money, I made a few things that I was hoping would help the fundraising, and I'm going to do a raffle. I'd hate to be that person that has no bidders on an auction, so even if I get one 'ticket', I'm happy (and you've gotten yourself a bargain!)

This is actually being raffled on behalf of my friend, Krafty Panda. She's up in Rockhampton, and has been in the 'flood zone' since the beginning. The clean up must have started for them, and as she won a giveaway of min, I asked her what she'd like. She replied with "How about you make something for me, but then have an auction for it to raise money for the flood relief?" (she's also having a fabbo auction, I have some of these pins, they are gorgeous!)

So, here we are :

A Nicole Mallalieu Design, it is a great bag that I've made for friends, who have loved it. This one has a single strap, and on the opposite side in the lining is a 3 pocket compartment, for phone, keys etc.

So, the rules. Please read carefully:

•This giveaway is open to everyone no matter where you live.

•I will cover all postage costs.

•To enter this giveaway you must donate $5 to the Premier's Flood Relief Appeal.

•You may enter as many times as you like but each entry / donation  must  have  a separate receipt number.

After you have done this , return here and leave your comment with your receipt number.

Even if you don't have a blog, leave an anonymous comment with your email address, or I won't be able to contact you, therefore no entry. And that would be sad!

Toni is going to have a master list of all the auctions, so keep checking in with her (there are so many helpers now, having auctions etc I can't keep track!

Good luck, and thanks for bidding!

Blogtoberfest '10 day 26

My giveaway time!

I've been a bit under the weather this week, tired and emotional (or Temotional as I like to call it).

So have missed a few days, sorry about that!

I've been making a few b'day pressies, so can't show you any pics anyway!

I used the Random Number generator, which told me Follower number 88!

I decided to count from the beginning, so that person is........

KRAFTY PANDA! She who does the amazing pins, check out her pumpkins!

I have a few ideas of what to send you, but I'll send you an email and we'll discuss further!

Thanks for all my follower/friends, you give me a reason to keep on blogging!

Blogtoberfest '10 day 24

The day came out beautifully for some pics- of my new 'couch/cuddle' quilt. Actually, a 'because I like
jelly rolls' quilt. It looks a tinge orange-y in this pic;

this is a better idea of the colours. I used my gifted piece of FMF, and the
purple-y one above it was extra, too. I wanted it a bit bigger than the last one.

The purple chenille backing is thick and cosy;

Today was another babysitting day, as this boys mum's had a birthday! She was taken out for lunch, so I had my sewing helper and his sister; after helping me with some binding on a quilt, I added a handle to a pre-made bag, and he was set!

Perfect for his hat, sunnies and drink. (I love these man bags, but didn't have the time!)

 The girls liked it!

We did go to the park, but the small one- I wasn't risking a heart
attack by carrying a 3 yr old up 'Death Hill' again!

EDIT: Nearly forgot to add my Blogtoberfest giveaway! Actually, each day I keep forgetting, so I went back and remembered:

I am 2 followers off 100! Yay! So whoever becomes a follower by Wednesday the 27th October will be in the running  for a mystery prize! If I don't reach 100 by Wednesday, the giveaway won't be on! Yes, blatant bribery at work, my blog, don't care!

So 2 or more followers and one of you wins a prize!

Giveaway time!

After winning the raffle at Dayelsford the other weekend, there were a few things in the prize that I will never use, and I refuse to hold ono to these sort of things any longer! Hoarding is ok if you are eventually gonna use it, right?
So for all you knitters or lover of wool, here are 2 balls that you can have:

They speak for themselves, don't they? I don't need to talk them up, leave a comment and you're in!

Running out of imaginative titles....

This week this great giveaway arrived from Vic. I was planning to leave it wrapped until Xmas, but the paper got torn a bit in the post...so I had to tear it more, and I'm so glad I did! It is awesome- the fabric is definately going ot be a bag, the recipe file and clutch looked at lots.
She added some cute badges, and

buttons and a plate! Well, saucer, but it is my first one for my vintage plate feature wall I want to start, very special!

I have been sewing a few gifts, which I can't show yet, but also making a few coin ourses, just to work on my zipper technique (oh, and use a few of the buggers up!). How cute is this pocket one, some old jeans (found VERY cheap at the oppys) and lining fabric. A pocket on the outside of your coin purse. Gosh, I feel clever!

Another finished item is this Xmas tee, and long sleeve one I chopped the sleeves off, and hand appiqued the tree on. It is a pattern from an old Handmade, I can't find out which one if anyone wants to know. She loved wearing it to the Carols in the Park last night.

Have to get a wiggle on, my poor friend will be left short if I don't finish (after i've started) the hats for her. Plus I want to see her on Wednesday, i'll look pretty silly turning up without them, hmm, short conversation that day I think!!
