a biiiiiig catch up!

Gosh, there's too much here for one post, so thought I'd do a quick summary, and then some scheduled posts to give more detail on a few things I'd like to share.
November and December are THE busiest months for us! 4 birthdays now, Xmas doesn't even get a look in until there'll all done. Someone PLEASE remind me to start preparing in June? (and then tell me to listen and follow through hehe)

So there was my birthday;

The girl went to camp! 2 nights at Phillip Island, and she adored it! It was very touch and go whether she would go, as some anxiety has crept in and sleepovers and sleeping through the night were all affected (not going into much detail, it's not my issues to tell). But she made it, and I'm so proud of her!

We had a wee bingle and needed a new car :( Luckily the new one has working air conditioning, so now we have survived all the drama, we're enjoying that!

And a few catch ups and meeting new friends.

Throw into that mix the decision to do a market stall! A good decision I might add, it helped my hoarding habit by forcing me to go through a lot of older stuff I've made, and give people a few bargains. And it was a lovely crowd and atmosphere, a great day out really.
I even opened an Etsy shop :)

I purchased a snap press, as a friend was getting rid of hers, so  I went hard with some bibs. Some for a friend, some for the shop/stall.

Very addictive!

Another day trip

So our third day trip/car drive this week was courtesy of my sister, who has a new car and wanted to hit Bendigo for this. Thank God I got to be a passenger for once! Bendigo sure put the weather on today, too, thanks!

I gifted my sister her 'horsey Tova top' after she saw this in my stash. It was immediately worn, and declared fantastic (yay!)

We went up via Lark in Daylesford first, to take advantage of The Sale. The MS shop next door was open too, apparently not usually open on a Saturday, hence me not checking it out before!

The tags read$1.50 per sheet, and $2 for the fabric on top. A chenille bedspread I'll photograph tomorrow was $6.50! anyone who purchased got a bunny or 2 fro free (over breeding of stuffed bunnies in that shop teehee)

The Lark sale increased the fabric stash, vintage and modern (yep Amy Butler and Denyse Schmidt made an appearance at $5 a piece!

a few more larger pieces to photograph tomorrow in the daylight, too.

After the exhibition we hit the town for a late lunch (it takes about an hour to get through the exhibition. You must book, it's very popular!)

Both ridiculously photogenic!

The book was a huge hit, I hop it becomes dog eared and well read! The whole exhibition was perfect for Little Miss, she had a million questions I luckily had help answering, and it's given her things to Google when she's bored!

Ridiculously huge meals, too!

Ahhh, tourist stuff!

Get you're butt up there to check it out!

Blogtoberfest: Day 1

Well, I've joined up here and I am going to see if I can do it! Even my non-interesting days have to be made to sound interesting if I want to complete the challenge!!

WARNING: there will be non crafting and child related posts in the next month, it will impossible otherwise.

hence today's exciting development- a clean car!! I remember when I used to get my bucket out, the sponge, Turtle Wax was the only brand you wanted, and everyone ended up soaked from the hose. What? our children will ask us? You used a HOSE to waste water on your car?

Well, I already think like that, and therefore it is a major event when the car gets cleaned- AND vacuumed on the same day. How do I find the time? I didn't. I paid someone while I did the groceries. Simple.

Wonder what it would look like at the end of Blogtoberfest?

Ahh, grocery shopping. exciting, as all these new goodies make their way into my home. A few years ago I was actually surviving on food parcels from charities, so i really do appreciate these moments that I can afford a big haul. On top of a car service. OUCH!

Hmm, is every photo now going to have a crazy pose?

Probably.
See over here for giveaways, too, and watch this space for some.
EDIT: forgot to add a story about my car service. Mine was supposed to have a new timing belt at 60,000kms. It got that today at 100, 000kms. Apparently, I have used up every bit of luck I have, and this is obviously why I never win any giveaways or competitions!
