The Great S-Cape

It's another Tablescape Thursdays hosted by Susan of Between Naps On The Porch.

This cottage is named S-Cape and was the site for today's table setting for 4.

The charming 2 story cottage is located in Dillon Beach, California. We spent the first week of August here with our 3 year old son Daniel and his 6 year old cousin Keano.

The cottage sleeps up to 4. You can rent this home through Moore Vacation rentals.

The acrylic salad and dinner plates are actually from our travel picnic basket.

The green Depression glass stemware was given to us from Dan's mom.

Although the home came fully stocked with its own dishes, I liked how our picnic plates and glass stemware worked nicely with the rustic style of the home's interiors.

We really enjoyed the feel and location of this cottage which is only 7 cottages away from the beach path.

Happy Birthday To Our Little American

Yesterday, August 6th, our Little American turned 3 years old. I know everyone says this but it's so true...it is amazing how time flies. Especially when you have a child. I really can't believe 3 years have already gone by. Papa Dan and I were together 16 years before the Little American joined our family. Time flew by then but now with little Daniel, it seems as if we've escalated to warp speed. We spent the week in Dillon Beach with his first cousin Keano who is 3 years older. They had a great time bonding.

His nanny Mimi(whom he seems to at times love more than us) threw him a pool party the weekend before we took off to Dillon Beach. His neighborhood friends attended. He loved all the attention. This is the first year that he seemed to understand the concept of birthdays. He wanted one everyday after this party for the 6 days leading up to his actual birthday.

Papa Dan, who swore Chuck E Cheeses was too pedestrian, couldn't be dragged away from this game. He was playing not just one but two games simultaneously as though he were at a Las Vegas casino. All he needed was a cigarette in one hand and a cocktail in the other.



Finally, several photos of our little American from the last 3 years. A reminder of how much he has grown since the first time he joined our family.

Give A Way Drawing Update.....

Greetings all,

Unfortunately, the video taping of the drawing for our first Give-A-Way which was scheduled to be released today will be delayed a few more days. My camera/video cam broke while at Dillon Beach this past week and is in the shop to determine if the cost to repair is worth it or if I just need to purchase a new one altogether. In the meantime, I will be spending the weekend searching the junk drawers throughout the house to find an old flip share portable camcorder I used to rely on.
As you can see from the above image, the names have already been entered for the drawing. I just need to record the Little American pulling the names. I apologize for the delay and appreciate your patience.
