Hello gilrs! This week at Some Odd Girl we are showcasing projects that are non-card ones. There are many different ways to use your favorite Some Odd Girl digis & clear stamps and I’m going to show you a funny and easy way to make a bookmark. If you love to read this is the right thing for you. It’s a really useful and a fabulous present for someone going back to school.

Here’s the list of what you’ll need:
1 sheet A4 color cardstock for the base
2 sheets 6×6 inch red coordination cardstock
1 sheets 6×6 inch blue coordination cardstock
2 sheets 6×6 inch design papers for the decoration
some decoration and embellishment by choice – I used some handmade flowers and gem stones
You will need also a colored digital or clear stamp. My choice was the adorable Reading-Mae digi because it’s a perfect image for that purpose 
She looks so relaxed and full of joy. It’s very important to fit your digi to the right size of your die cut and you could use a tutorial made by Åsa .

These are the dies I used.
So let’s get start the real work You have to cut off a square with dimensions 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 inch (or 12 x 12cm) from the cardstock you are going to use for base . After doing it mark the centers of all it’s sides than fold two of them and cut the other two triangles. Here is a scheme to make things clearer.
Now your base is ready and you could cut off 2 squares from the red cardstock and design paper. Red one have to be smaller than the base with 1/8 inch (or 0.3cm). The second one (from design paper) should also be smaller than the red with 1/8 inch (or 0.3cm ). Repeat this on the back side – cut off a triangle from the red cardstock and design paper.
You need to cut off a triangle from the cardstock which is smaller than the back with 1/2 inch (or 1.2cm). And now the only thing left is to attach the two triangles on the back side with the smaller one that you just made and glue them. Stick together the two decorative elements to the base (like on the picture above). Finally make sure to attach colored image to front side and we are ready to do the decoration.
