Червената ябълка / The Red Apple

We all love to color people and I think it's very important to express the facial features right and much more realistic.  There are so many great tutorials and tips how to improve your coloring skills. I find the perfect one for my purpose and use it to make the girl's face expressive and representational.  I made a new card following Adding Facial Features by Lis Murphy. She created perfect step-by-step instructions and magnificent card.I have colored this clear stamp with Spectrum Noir markers.I followed the steps in the tutorial and first outlined the face with TN3, then added shape to form the nose, eyebrow and cheeks. I don't prefer strong definition of the facial features so I blended the colors on the face a little bit for slight shadows and more realistic view. When finished the entire face, I repeated the cheek area. For smoother tan I used the brush nibs of the markers.

Това е Тиа - много усмихната и голяма сладурка :) Такива  трябвяше да са и хартиите за този таг - зимни и весели. Отново различна и се надявам да е усмихнала и получателката си.

Второто ми тагче от серията с печатите на Some Odd Girl, която подготвих за коледната размяна.
Не можах  да се сдържа и пак посегнах към и едно старо, но страхотно зимно блокче на Еcho Park с изключително нежни снежни мотиви. Първоначалната ми идея като оцветявах беше всичките да са в една гама и идентична стилистика, но после се размислех и реших, че всяка трябва да е със своя индивидуалност, най-малкото защото ще станат притежание на три различни момичета ... И ето това е червенокосата Мае / до сега май не съм правила такава огнена коса :)/

Картичка без край / Never Ending Card

Today is the third day of our  “Fancy Card Folding” week and it's my turn to make a post on Some Odd Girl Blog. I’m going to show you a step by step tutorial of one really different and a little bit crazy fold card. It’s called “ Never Ending card”. Actually it’ll take more time than a common one but it’s fun! Don’t be scary and give it a try   First time when I try this it was a great challenge for me too.

And here it ‘s my card. I used  Furry Friend Mae, Boy’s Best Friend Tobie, Water Fun, Tree Branch digi stamps and sentiments from two clear sets – Puppy Love Mae and Sunny Mae.

This is the front side.

You can see how it looks on the other two sides too.

 The dimensions of  my card are 6x6 inch / or 15x15 cm/. For this card size you'll need 4 piece of  color cardstock by you choice - 3x6 inch / or 7.5x15 cm/.If you prefer to make a smaller or bigger one you have to scale the dimensions proportionally. On the image below you can see how to fold your cardstock. Two like the first one and two like the second one.

Here are my four cardstock ready for work.

First put two parts closely side by side and use some double sided adhesive tape for the four corners like is shown on the picture. 

After this stick together the other parts up to first  two.

And at the end of all these our front side of the card is ready.

Then start folding it. First have to close the two vertical parts and then the back of  card is going to look like an opened window.

That's the second side of our card.

Next step is to fold it in the center like is shown on the picture below.

And here you have the third side of your "Never Еnding card".    

At the end you have to open the card from the center to the sides and turned it on the back .

That's the fourth side of the card. You could do this how long you like and that's why it's 
called "Never Еnding card".

Are you ready for Some Odd Girl's new release ! 

This week at Some Odd Girl we've started our Halloween projects and today we are featuring 2 brand new digis -Mad Scientist Tobie and Cauldron Tia and Night Sky Background Cut File.
You could do creepy & cute projects at the same time with them :)

For my first card I used Mad Scientist Tobie and a sentiment from Grow clear stamp set. He looks like a mad genius happy with the results of his experiments and research to me ;)What do you say?
I'll show it at Sketch Saturday .

For the second one I used Cauldron Tia and a magnificent Night Sky Background Cut File.This time adorable Tia is reincarnated in a really cute young white witch. I colored her in dark colors just because I wanted to make a night scene and this idea fits perfect to the cut file. At the end to finish the tag I put some raffia in the hole of a small star on the top.

I had so many ideas when I've started this project and thought it'll be great fun to make a really "bloody" Halloween card but have some problems with an artificial blood ;). Finally decided to leave the paper clear without any other details except the stitching and it's own design- it seems right choice for that case - and the color combo red & black is perfect for this image .
