~✿~ New Ladybird Shorty ~✿~

Although I hurt my left hand last night - in the dog's leash (~) - I wanted to close this project still today. I am satisfied with the result! Love to do this pants; made quite a few by now...
Today was finally a cool day with rain, first chestnuts fell in front of my door and this means Fall is definitely on his way - hoooray! I am a Bad-weather-Girl! Now comes my time of the year....to all of you out in Bloglandia; have a nice weekend! ~✿~

~ Jurassic Park ~

Yesterday I visited our local Arboretum! It's been long since I have been there the last time.
Lotus is in full bloom and it sure looks so beautiful ✿ I wanted to get some Alcea seeds of the black kind. That was my actual reason for this visit! But it is always great to have a tour around ✿

On the way this guy passed me by and didn't even noticed me... ✿

Quite Jurassic....

✿✿ Heather is Blooming ✿✿

Mid of August and Heather is in full bloom here; isn't it lovely!? ✿✿ We have a large ancient site here with Bronce Age Barrows (see photo above). The Birches are held small, so the Heather can expand. This year is rich in colours and fruits: in all the years I lived here in the country area I have not seen so many and so huge sloe (blackthorne). Infortunately, as far as I know, they can be used only for making liqueur...I once had a friend who made fabulous liqueur out of them. But sloe needs quite strong frost before they are tasty and can be harvested; alternative they can be in the deepfreezer for some time, but this is not the same as natural frost....✿✿

These buttons are my personal harvest of the day: I love those vintage pressed glass buttons.

They are sometimes hard to get. These are not old and are in shrill colours, but still I like them. Colours are quite moderate on this pic - they are definitely shrill.... ✿✿

Halibut and Strawberries ~❃~

This was a fine weather weekend; lovely warm Summer weather, but it will be hot and sultry again soon...

I could buy some Halibut, what was good! It came from Alaska and I dreamed myself off again.

Wish I could go there, see the country, friends and the large halibuts....

...this were probably the last strawberries for the season, but they were soooo tasty!

Went blueberry picking today, but they are also overripe now and soon they will be gone!

We have rich fruits everywhere this year...

Green has always been my fave colour ~ in all variations! I just found these wild strawberries in the forest and this pepper and salt dispenser on the fleamarket...

I like to watch TV, although I hardly watch....usually I do something else next to it, f.i. knitting, but now in Summer from Sunday to Thursday it is Columbo Night at 10 pm,

Columbo is cult and I especially like the very old series, I suppose, from the 70's. I don't know how many films were made, but they are popular and unique...so I will watch again tonight!

Another snap from the forest! See the lovely clover; also green...but also have a look at this sturdy snail. It was huge and fat and shiny black; obviously concentrating on its dirtdinner.

We have many snails here; they can ruin entire gardens and plantations. I think they are disgusting and fascinating at the same time...we have many different kinds here!

~ New Frog Pants ~

Today I was off to buy some flowers for my little roof garden and what did I find? Yes, Frogs again....think I will get me a bowl and have a waterlilly and such a little green guy inthere!

Yesterday I finished the first part of new baby pants, also a little froglike...accidently! Wool is a very good Schachenmayr Cotton that I got low priced because of the closing of our traditional warehouse!

This lovely doggy needs a new home! I would take her immediately, but she is too far away, I am afraid....as far as I know she is still in Alaska! The first leaves start to fall!!! This is my time of year: Autumn! There are rich fruits everywhere this summer, so probably we will get a real good cold winter, too. Today it was not so hot and sultry, lovely, enjoyed the day in a fresh breeze! I am glad that Summer seems to slow down now...

I almost forgot to place a new pic for Petunia's Foto Safari, so here we go...this is a ripe colza field spottet with millions of cornflowers and poppies...enjoy!

๑ Grisehale All Alpaca Hat ๑

๑ This was my first hat in a series of similar ones. I called it Grisehale Hat as it looks a little like a piggy's butt and tail. This particular one was sold to a lady in Oslo in the meantime. I have the pattern out at Ebay. Next winter will definitely come, so this Alpaca Hat will be of good use

~ Flying Bugs Hat ~

We have an invasion of ladybugs here; this inspired me to do this hat!!!
The top (grass, meadow...) is Lett Lopi (colour: celery), the fringe is a G-B Bamboo yarn and the edge is 100% Alpaca by Horstia. It is warm and cool at the same time, the Bamboo yarn regulates it... Enjoy!!!

~❀~ Boletus Cuffs ~❀~

These Boletus Cuffs were just finished. I had to felt them three times at 40°C, surprisingly often this time. Usually Lambswool surrenders quicker. They turned out quite ok, but I am not 100% satisfied...but I just love thinking of Fall! This is MY season! Summer's climax is done here and yesterday I found the blueberries leaves all yellow and dry. The berries themselves are super ripe, but it will be possible to pick some for the weeks to come. Other fruits are almost ripe, too, even the chestnuts by my frontdoor are getting huge early; soon they will - plop, plop - start to fall; the kids will rush to get them...mushrooms also start to peek out in the forest. I don't know much about them, so I leave it to others to harvest them....
