A Little Mother

Belle is such a good little mommy! She LOVES all of her babies and takes such good care of them. I just love to watch her! She has such a tender, nurturing spirit. I wish I could say she learned it all from me, but I am a firm believer that we are born with a divine nature...certain qualities of a Child of God. Belle has the gift of being kind, tender, and nurturing... I know she will one day be a wonderful mother!
This is her latest favorite thing...
She gets all of her "baby stuff" out, (the doll car seat, high chair, port-a-crib, swing, etc.) Then, she acts out different scenarios with her "babies." This just cracked me up! She asked me for a snack, so I gave her strawberries and cottage cheese. She didn't eat much, so I asked her if something was wrong. She said, "No, Mommy. I'm just waiting for Minnie to finish her snack first." That's when I noticed that she had SeRiOuSLy fed her Minnie Mouse doll, who was in her high chair... just waiting her turn. After their snack, Belle pulled a chair up to the sink and put Minnie in the running water. When asked what in the world she was doing, Belle said, "Mom, my baby NeEdEd a tub!" I guess Minnie got a little carried away with her snack, and apparently needed a bath. The day progressed with Belle and her babies playing games, reading books, and taking a snooze... such a FuN day, for all of us!

I LOVE the creativity and the imagination of little kids...especially mine! I love to watch them play and explore and problem solve. They are so darn smart, it sometimes scares me! I did get a few photos of the fun day with Belle and Minnie!
(By the way... ignore the nudity and the straggly hair! It was just one of those days!!! :))

Welcome Home, Elder Miller!

My cute little brother just got home from his mission yesterday! It was such a wonderful day...one that we've been looking forward to for a long time! He was able to meet, for the first time, 2 of the 3 nieces and nephews born while he was away. We missed Charlee and Dave and their kids, who had to return to their home in Europe a couple of weeks ago. We are looking forward to Christmas, though, and seeing them again! As for Shea, he has such an amazing spirit about him. He ALWAYS has, but there is something about a missionary that is undeniable. He has an amazing testimony of the gospel, and has done incredible things out in the mission field. We are so proud of him, and his example to us all...and are SO excited to have him home again! My kids sure missed their Uncle Shea! Welcome Home, Brother! Here are some highlights of the day...

My Happy List...

My cute friend, Amber, tagged me. This is a fun one, so I thought I'd give it a whirl. Here goes...

TEN things that made me hApPy TODAY!
(in no particular order:)

1. Briggs saying, "mommy, why do you always tell me you love me? maybe just don't do it in front of my friends!"
2. Picking up a little KFC (Briggs's choice) instead of cooking dinner!
3. Making Get-Well cards for Grandma Robyn, and WELCOME HOME cards for Uncle Shea (who gets home from his mission on Wednesday!!! YEAH!)
4. Watching Briggs play in his first baseball game...and lots of 4 year olds, in over-sized T-shirts, running around CrAzY, trying to figure the whole thing out!!! SO CUTE!
5. Zach telling me he still loves my body...even with my "Baby Bump". (I really needed to hear that! :))
6. Listening to MuSiC with the kids, versus watching T.V.
7. Planning out my crazy week, and realizing it's not going to be so crazy afterall! (Zach's trip was cancelled! Hooray!)
8. Feeling my baby move and kick so much, that I was seriously in PAIN! I must really have a big baby in there...or strong...or CRAZY!!! :-)
9. The big ViCtOrY by the Jazz! Now they're coming back to finish the series at home. YEAH!
10. Talking to an old friend on the phone, who's son just broke his arm, and reading about a friend who's daughter may have broken her leg... and realizing how lucky we are do have NOT experienced those hardships, yet. We are truly blessed, and I am so lucky to have "Happy Moments" in my day that remind me of my many blessings!

I am tagging...
MiRiAm, JeSsIcA, and WhItNeY...friends that make me HaPpY every single day!

There goes my Mother of the Year Award!

I just may be the WoRsT mom in the entire world! Zach planned a fun-filled weekend full of family fun...like skiing, eating out, Jazz games, walks in the mountains, etc. We had so much fun, EXCEPT...
*When trying to avoid getting sunscreen in Belle's eyes, I completely missed the areas around them...didn't make her wear her goggles or sunglasses while up on the slopes... and now has bright red, sunburned circles around her eyes.
* When taking a little walk up Butterfield Canyon today, Briggs was so excited to find patches of cactus' (or is it cacti??? You know what I mean!) Anyway, my favorite saying of the day was when Briggs exclaimed, "I didn't know we had cactus's in Utah!" We got a chuckle out of it, and me...being the WoNdErFuL mom that I am, said, "Briggs, go over by that cactus and i'll get a picture!" As he was walking over, he FELL and caught himself with his hand right on a cactus! Am I the WoRSt or what?! He was so brave and didn't even cry as Zach pulled all the little prickles out of him. And after all was said and done...I still made them pose for a picture. I know, I know...but it IS a memory after all! :-)

Besides the obvious, we did have a great weekend! I ALWAYS enjoy spending time with my hubby and kids! Thanks, Zach, for planning a wonderful weekend for us all! I sure do love you!!!

Martha Stewart...Here she comes!!!

My cousin Ashley is going on Martha Stewart...SeRiOuSLy!!! She is so awesome! She and her husband started a little business making awesome baby decor. She started selling her stuff on Etsy, and it took off...FAST! She had a lady in California want to sell her stuff in her boutique...and not long after that, she got a call from Martha Stewart's office. I guess they found her stuff and LOVED it. Long story short, she is going to be on the show on April 16th, and I would LOVE you guys to check it out. She has a new website hiccupinc.com
Check it out, if you'd like! She would love your support!
