Today I would like to share my version of Rosemary's gorgeous candle, like Betty, the last few weeks I have been traveling along the Blue Ridge Parkway and the picture I chose to use on my candle was of The Mabry Mill that is located along the parkway.
This was such and easy project to make and Rosemary's tutorial was awesome, also I tried a tutorial that I saw at Jill's Card Creations where she made a gift box and decorated tealights by stamping on them and infusing them into the candle. Here is my version of that one.
On the tea lights I stamped on the tissue, colored with markers then used my heat gun to infuse into the candle.

I am so excited about this candle! I have never made one before. I did mine a little different. I used a digital stamp from Digital Delight. It's a brand new stamp set that also comes out today! I printed it out on regular typing paper and colored it with Bic markers and Kor-i-nor pencils and OMS. With the typing paper you need to cut the design out close to the image and cut out your negative spaces.....................................................................
So after I had so much fun with this my DD who is 9 wanted to make one too!
She wanted to use her Halloween picture. LOL
She also choose to use one of Digital Delights new Digi Stamps
She colored it with Kor-i-nor pencils and OMS. I helped her with melting into the candle. But that's all that I did! Added the ribbon to finish it off. What wonderful presents she's going to make for the Grandparents this year! The possibilities are endless. Next I'm going to have her do her own drawings

Hi! I am HoneyBee June Houck and I am buzzing with inspiration after reading Roe's Motivation Monday post: Giving that old candle a face lift.
.................................................................
I made this with tissue paper, and it was so easy, and it didn't even have to have the wax paper, because the candle itself melted and incorporated the tissue paper. I stamped my images, which I colored with water-based markers. It smells so yummy! If you burn your candles, please be very careful!
