...neste innhøsting blir surkirsebær og jordbær i juni... Jeg gleder meg til å bake fantastiske kaker og invitere venner igjen.

De siste tulipanene blomstrer og visner i hagen og rosene er ved start.

The last tulips in the garden are fading, but the roses will soon replace them.

There were a few festivals here with us... like the town festival with lots of music, the 30th Karl May festival nearby with beautiful horses and a folk festival where I shot a flower with an airgun, it's standing now in the living room ... very proud :-)))

(Yes, I sewed the little colorful coasters brand new.)

Vårtur Memleben

Spring trip to Memleben 

... Otto II grunnla et benediktinerkloster i Memleben i 979, hvis imponerende rester fortsatt kan sees i dag. I 1525 ble klosteret plyndret under bondekrigen og til slutt oppløst i 1548 som en del av reformasjonen.

Fra 2011, for første gang på 500 år, flyttet benediktinermunker inn i Memleben-klosteret for en uke. Besøkende kunne overvære bønnene i krypten.

I tillegg foregår det vitenskapelige arkeologiske utgravninger på stedet i dag, det er et omfattende museum og en liten kafé og vakre hager ... et absolutt feel-good sted.

... Otto II donated a Benedictine monastery in 979, the impressive remains of which can still be seen today. In 1525 the monastery was plundered by rebellious peasants during the Peasants' War and finally dissolved as a result of the Reformation in 1548.

In 2011, after 500 years, Benedictine monks moved back into the Memleben monastery for a week. Visitors could attend the prayers in the crypt.

Furthermore, nowadays scientific archaeological excavations take place on the site, there is an extensive museum and a small cafe and beautiful gardens...

we felt so comfortable... and will definitely be back.

Til pikniken vår bakte jeg surdeigsbrød med fersk villhvitløk...

For our picnic I baked sourdough bread with fresh wild garlic from my garden...

and tarte au citron.

It is the wine-growing region of the Saale-Unstrut valley, great white wine :-))) 

We stayed at the hotel and also visited Goseck Castle and the 7,000-year-old sun observatory in Goseck.

It was just fantastic...there were 6 of us in our family group.

Det er vinregionen Saale-Unstrut-Tal, flott hvitvin :-))) Vi bodde på hotellet og besøkte også Goseck Castle og det 7000 år gamle solobservatoriet i Goseck.

Det var bare fantastisk... det var 6 av oss i vår familiegruppe.
