Green

Greenen er tilbake, vi har hatt noen dager med kontinuerlig regn... endelig.

After a hot summer we finally had a few days of continuous rain and the green is back...

with wonderfully fresh air. 

And in nearby Rammenau there was the "International Linen Days" in the castle and castle park. In earlier days, this region had large fields of flax and countless looms for making linen cloth.

I helgen var det «Internasjonale lindager» på Rammenau slott, de er veldig populære og er basert på det gamle håndverket til linvevere i regionen.

Hausmannsturm

... tårnet bak meg - det ene med den lange toppen - det andre er kirketårnet til katedralen til bispedømmet Dresden-Meißen.

... the tower behind me - the one with the long peak - the other is the church tower of the cathedral of the Dresden-Meissen diocese.

 Hausmannsturm er en av de eldste delene av Dresden-slottet, den ble startet rundt 1400 i de nedre delene og måler nå over 100 m. Du kan klatre 222 trinn til utsiktsplattformen, hvorfra det er en fantastisk panoramautsikt over Dresden.

The Hausmannsturm is one of the oldest parts of the Dresden Castle, it was started around 1400 in the lower parts and today it measures over 100 m. 222 steps lead to the viewing platform, from which one has a wonderful panoramic view over Dresden.

   You see that little paddle steamer down there...
