Well, it is January again, and I'm participating in the LOAD challenge at Let's Scrap. The challenge is to complete a "LayOut A Day", or at least a page a day. Because I do mostly 2-page layouts, it means finishing about 15 layouts in the moth of January.
I started out the month by making a layout for the 12-26-12 sketch at Let's Scrap. I got the idea from several others who used this sketch for "details" layouts. Here is my layout:
I used a few photos of the little details from my daughter's wedding that otherwise might not have been scrapped. The glitter paper is hard to work with because nothing really wants to stick to it, but I love the results.
I then worked on a couple of graduation layouts:
My son-in-law graduated from college in December. I made these two layouts for him. The first one was from an old CTMH kit. The bottom one is made with a sketch from one of Valerie Salmon's Got Sketch? classes, I think Got Sketch? 101. It is hard to see in the photo, but the gold is a metallic paper. I love the little something extra it adds.
I also finished a layout of Zack's Thanksgiving Program at School. I included one of the poems they recited, "Five Little Turkeys". This layout is one of the November "Super Saver Sketch Club" layouts from Scrapbook Generation. The layout is straight, but my photo is pretty crooked.
