Last Scrapper Standing

Well I didn't make it through the first round of Last Scrapper Standing.  I was real disappointed at first, but since I am brand new to the site, and I really didn't expect to make it very far, I have decided to be relieved not to be under pressure to create a spectacular layout in 4 days time.  I have several other challenges I would like to find time for.

Last Scrapper Standing

I completed my layout for the first round of the Last Scrapper Standing contest at Memorable Seasons. I thought it was due on Friday 6/18, had it about half done, when a big storm came through and we lost power. I was really bummed until I got online to check out all the entries, and realized that I had until today! Uploaded mine last night. I used a sketch by Valorie Salmon from the Fiskars site to start the design. I added a silouette cut with my cricut using the "A Child's Year" cartridge. I used my gypsy to flip the image, and then realized that I could use it either way. Background paper is Rusty Pickle, blue star is CTMH, others from my stash. I added star stickers and red Stickles to the die cut, and glitter buttons that my dh cut the shanks off for me. Also some striped ribbon on the left. All from Hobby Lobby. I am pleased with the results, and can't wait to see what the next challenge will be. Thanks for looking.
