Grungey Fall

Hi stampers!  Hello from the farm!  I spent yesterday and part of the day today with my momma.  I think fall is officially here as the weather was gorgeous yesterday and then it was all rainy this morning.....darn it since I was planning to go run while my mom was at her volunteer job.  Oh well.  The sun was coming out earlier but now it looks to be gloomy again as I peek out the kitchen window over the valley.  Have I mentioned I love it here?  The only thing to make it better would be to have my stamps here :-)

So in honor of the fall weather (I do prefer the sunny over the rainy....) I have a fall card.

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Harvest of thanks, gorgeous grunge, off the grid
Paper:  Very vanilla, crushed curry, soft sky, sweater weather DSP
Ink:  Chocolate chip, crushed curry, soft sky
Accessories:  Apothecary accents framelits, linen thread, naturals designer buttons, epic day washi tape

For some reason this card just seemed to fit the day.  It's not a gloomy card but the splatters and stuff just spoke to me today I guess.  It's also the first time I've used the off the grid background which I love!  It adds just the right touch!

And don't forget about my spooky banner class that you can come to in person or get for FREE online! Check it out on my classes and events page!

Mailable Monday - Display Sample Edition

Hi stampers!  Happy Monday!  I hope you had a great weekend!  I did as it was the last day of the state fair here and we (my momma, step dad and Jon) always go and watch the draft horse pulls.  We had a lot of fun and the weather was so nice!  Usually it is SO hot but it was great this year!  And I love the fair!  Sadly, a lot of the animals we usually see were already gone.  They must have changed the schedule this year.  The fair always brings out the country girl in me who spent the summers on my grandparents farm!  I have to say I'm really looking forward to not having to work weekends so I can have more time to spend with my family!

I'm still sharing my display samples from convention and today I have a mailable.  I had a hard time switching gears from Artisan type over the top projects to display stamper....while I wanted to WOW everyone I wanted most of them to be really do-able since they were really made for inspiration for the convention sets.

This is pistachio pudding.  The lighting was a little off in my room it appears!  Sorry about that!  This card was super simple though!

Display Stamples

Hi stampers! No, that's not a typo...for some reason I have a problem saying display samples and it comes out 99.9% of the time "display stamples", lol!  Just ask my roomie, Marla!  She'll tell you I said it no less than 1000 times!  But you know what, it's not wrong...I mean after all they are samples that are stamped so stamples it is!!!!  My mom always laughed that she had her own language at work and people looked at her like she was crazy but eventually adopted her words, lol!  Maybe stamples will catch on and I guess I come by it honest ;-)

So, how would you like to see some more of my display stamples????  Here are a couple.  I'm going to try to post more than one at a time like I said but I'm STILL not caught up on sleep so I only got two edited before I wanted to fall asleep sitting up, lol!  I'm also not going to list supplies...SO, if you have questions please feel free to email or comment and I'll get back to you.  I THINK all 24 of them were on display (is it sad I had a hard time remembering what my OWN cards looked like, lol)!

So here's a quick and easy one with gorgeous grunge!  I really did try to do some easy and simple designs since they were for inspiration for stampers of all experience.  I kept thinking things were too simple but I hope you all like them!
The colors I used were coastal cabana, Bermuda bay, midnight muse, and smokey slate FYI because I do know I'll get asked that :-)

And another pretty simple one!  I think it looks like ice cream sherbet colors a little!

Mailable Monday - Marine Life

Hi stampers!  I'm in full on freak out mode...leaving for convention (by way of my mom's house) tomorrow so I have a jillion things to get done and I totally didn't do any of them yesterday, ha!

So, quick post today!  Today's mailable card uses the new square framelits to create a polaroid.  I also finally got by the tide since it made the big catalog.
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  By the tide, gorgeous grunge, lots of thanks
Paper:  Very vanilla, baked brown sugar, 2013-2015 in color core'dinations
Ink:  Baked brown sugar, coastal cabana, crisp cantaloupe
Accessories:  Square framelits, sanding block, corner rounder punch

I used the core'dinations CS all on it's own and not embossed here which is just as fun as embossing it.  I did stamp on it and then I distressed it with the sanding tool.

Ok, time to get to work!

Starbuck's inspired

Hi stampers.  So I visited SB's more times than I care to mention over vacation....but in my defense it WAS vacation after all and it was hot (obviously I got iced drinks...I just shook my head at the hundreds of people drinking HOT coffee at the 90-100+ degree pool) AND by the time we'd walked 4+ miles in addition to our morning run I needed something to refresh and recharge ;-)  And then of course there was breakfast...and I love me some SB's oatmeal!!!!!

And what's funny is that I used to HATE coffee!  Like gag!  I loved the smell and as much as my momma loves coffee you would have thought it would be a given...but no....it took getting a Keurig (did I spell that right, I never know) for Christmas from the in-laws to get me hooked!  I love the different flavors you can get.  So, I finally got brave and tried some SB's one day...I was totally scared to order there for a long time with all the jargon, lol!!!!

Sooooo of course I had to have perfect blend when the new catalog came out!  After a quick iced skinny mocha run on Saturday (I mean....technically it was STILL vacation, hehe...oh and it was free because the garbage truck penned us in at the one at my mom's for like 10 minutes on Friday so we got a free voucher) I was inspired to make this card!

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Perfect blend, gorgeous grunge
Paper:  Whisper white, crumb cake, gumball green, baked brown sugar
Ink:  Gumball green, baked brown sugar
Accessories:  Heart punch

I used the brown sugar ink instead of crumb cake because I really wanted it to look like coffee.  And I think that gumball green looks pretty close to Starbuck's green.

And I'm still a little afraid to order anything different than my usual 3-4 kinds of drinks....what's your favorite????

Happy stamping!
