We've been here for 1 week and it already feels like forever. The drive went really well, much better than I expected. We made it to Boise by the first night and we were at our new home by the next day 6:00 p.m. Even with the U-haul going soooo slow it wasn't that bad. The kids were angels. Leaving Tuesday morning was the hardest part. Braden was sobbing. A couple of days later he said he didn't mind moving, but he didn't like saying goodbye to his friends. As we pulled away all of them were standing in Jessica's doorway waving goodbye. It was one of the worst experiences I've ever had.
Now that we're a little more settled and most of the unpacking is done the lonliness is settling in. I knew this was coming but it doesn't make it any easier. I wish I could take Braden's pain away and I wish the urge to just get in the van and go back would go away.
