Fall is here...

Fall is supposed to be next week but some trees are already loosing their leaves here. I really like this season, it's a shame winter is following! (I hate winter and everything that goes with it : cold, freeze, snow, short days,...brrr!)

Here is a very simple card I made using the "Say hello" Hero Arts clear set to celebrate the season. There will probably be some other ones as I am a Halloween fan!

I wanted this tree with Fall colors and I colored it with Promarkers.

I'll send it to Operation Write Home as I didn't participate to the challenges on the Hero Arts pool on Flickr last weekend so I need to make a few more.

Ici, l'automne est déjà là, on dirait. J'aime bien cette ambiance aux tons chauds, sans compter que je suis fan d'Halloween, même si on ne le fête pas en France. Dommage... Et dommage aussi que ce soit suivi par l'hiver que je déteste, ainsi que tout ce qui va avec (le froid, la neige, le verglas, les jours qui raccourcissent,...).

J'ai fait une petite carte avec le set de tampons transparents "Say Hello" de Hero Arts que j'enverrai à l'Opération Write Home, puisque je n'ai pas pu participer le weekend dernier. J'en ferai d'autres d'ici peu normalement.

My own challenge

Last Sunday, while everyone at the Hero Arts pool on Flickr was joining the virtual Operation Write Home party, making cards like mad, I was starring at this:

And I was like paralized. I knew I wanted to join the party but I knew that I wouldn't be able to create a single card in this mess.
So slowly I began to tidy things up. I don't know at all where I put everything away. I have not the slightest idea!! But I ended up with this by the end of Sunday evening:

...which is a far better. The desk is still in the same state though and this is another story. But I now have a place to craft and even a chair to sit on it! Oh... luxury!

Unfortunately I had to admit that it was too late to make cards. I need to think a lot before making something and I was completely overwhelmed by all the challenges submitted on the Flickr pool (see all the cards that have been made). So I surrendered.

At least I will be able to craft a little bit during the next weekend and send some cards to the OWH project, if everything goes well...

Ce weekend, pendant que tout le monde du groupe Hero Arts faisait des cartes pour l' "Operation Write Home", moi j'étais piquée devant ces 2 tableaux... Et j'étais comme paralysée. Impossible de bricoler dans ce bazar !

Alors petit à petit, j'ai commencé à ranger, trier, jeter... Je n'ai absolument aucune idée de ce que j'ai fait de certaines choses qui étaient dans le "tas". Très certainement casées de façon hasardeuse entre 2 autres piles de "bazar" un peu plus loin... Le  bureau est toujours dans le même état, mais c'est une autre histoire... J'ai désormais un endroit pour me poser et bricoler, c'est l'essentiel.

Malheureusement, une fois assise à cette table, j'ai du me rendre à l'évidence : il était trop tard pour me mettre à faire des cartes pour le groupe Hero Arts et je ne participerais donc pas aux challenges, source de panique supplémentaire d'ailleurs tellement on avait l'embarras du choix et tellement les cartes faites par les filles du groupe étaient magnifiques.

Pas grave, je me rattraperai bientot et j'enverrai tout de même les cartes prévues à l'"Operation Write Home".
