Shopping for a Murder Ginger, Kindra, Suzanne, and Mary Margaret all love garage sales. To them, there's nothing more satisfying in life than finding a really good bargain. Clearance racks and midnight sales are their best friends. When one of the group doesn't show up at her own house for a meeting and turns up dead, the other three turn their bargain hunting skills into crime solving ones. Their detective work introduces them to new friends and very suspicious characters. Combing for clues becomes as easy as searching for cheap prices. The Bargain Hunters Network soon uncovers past secrets that want to stay hidden by those that will kill to stop them. I love going to garage sales. Those are some of the best places to get really good deals on clothes, old records and best of all, books! I also like shopping for a good bargain. So I immediately connected with the characters in this book with their bargain hunting masterminding. I loved Sharon's Ruby Taylor mysterie...

Book Review: "Cow Crimes and the Mustang Menace" by Sharon Dunn

Father Knows Best? Maybe not. Ruby Taylor is at it again. In her third book, as she and Wesley are trying to figure out their relationship, Ruby stumbles across a string of robberies targeting her work. This leads to her finding out a town's shady history involving a murder. Amid a missing bull and a county fair involving potato recipes, Ruby tries to find out who is committing all the robberies and how it somehow connect to that story from yesteryear. Her attempts at sleuthing lead to comical and scary situations. This was such a great book. I like Ruby more and more with each book in the series. I liked her friendship with Starlight and I was glad that Ruby kept trying to point out to Wes that he needed to stop suspecting them just because they were new in town. The whole scentless hairspray made me curious as well as to how it works. I don't want to spoil the ending but the reasons for all the "activities" happening in the area had a sad story behind it...

Book Review: "Sassy Cinderella and the Valiant Vigilante" by Sharon Dunn

A red haired Jessica Fletcher In Sassy Cinderella, the 2nd book in the Ruby Taylor Mystery series, we find Ruby teaching at a local college due to the recent death of a professor. There are questions surrounding his death, whether it was a suicide or not, and why would he kill himself. Meanwhile, Ruby also has to deal with her long lost brother reappearing and disappearing in her house, affecting her relationship with her mother. On top of that, her relationship with Wesley is getting complicated, with him being a police officer and continually catching Ruby in awkward positions. I really admired Ruby in this story. For example when she went into the professor's study, she wasn't scared or nervous or freaked out. If I had known there had once been a dead body in the room i was in, I'd run out immediately. Ruby, on the other hand, examines the fan the body was hanging from! I also liked Ruby's reactions to Wesley. Guys are absolutely clueless when it comes to women and...
