Fab Friday Tutorial - Inchie Backgrounds with Bombshell Stamps

Hi Marnie here!  I know I'm late today I got a little caught up in School Shopping and forgot what day of the week it was......  EEEEEP I ammmmm soooo Sorry, it's that time of year!  Today I have a little tutorial on making an inchie backgrounds card with Bombshell Stamps.  Here are the supplies I started with.  Stamps Mermaid Treasure and Hawiian Girl, I chose a summer theme.  Distress Inks in Bright Colors along with their matching daubers.  A 1" punch and white paper.
I inked up the paper the solid Pink and Blue will be for mats for my inchies.
Then I stamped a ton of small images onto my rainbow sheet of paper with Archival Ink in random patterns,
Now punch 1" squares out of the stamped piece and cut 1 1/8" squares out of the blue and pink.
I was first going to put these on a plain white card however I decided I needed to pick up some more colors so I created the Yellow background with ink and stencils using the same colors.  So here I would like to note, it is easier to line up your completed inchies we build an L on the card.  Then everything gets attached according to those lines.
This is the completed piece.  Now to embellish.
I have added the Mermaid colored with Copic then foam taped and some coordinating Sequins as well as a bit of stickles.  The Mermaid is mounted on a small piece of Orange I colored with the same ink.
Here is a close up of the layers.

Thank you so much for stopping by today HAVE A GREAT ONE!

Fabulous Friday Tutorial - Bombshell Cork Coasters

Hi Bombshells!

Kim here with a Fabulous Friday Tutorial!  Bombshell Cork Coasters!

 Supplies:
Bombshell Stamps - Tiki Party, Hula Girl, Hawaiian Girl
Cork Coasters - 4 pack from a craft store (I purchased mine at Michael's)
Tsukineko Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black
Copic Markers
Mod Podge
Paint Brush

First stamp the stamps of your choice onto the cork coasters using Tsukineko Memento Ink and let dry completely. I let mine dry overnight.
Next, color in your stamped images with Copic Markers. I found that light or bright colored Copics worked best, and to only color in parts of some images so the whole image is not lost. Let these completely dry also. Mine took a few hours.
Then apply a coat of Mod Podge with a paint brush only onto the colored/stamped image areas. Let dry completely overnight.
Once they are completely dry, they are ready to use! All you need is a good luau! (Or a good drink!)
Note: I have used my coasters several times and they have held up pretty well. After a few uses some of the color has come off and lightened slightly. I have only used them for outdoor bbq's. These are great if you aren't using them frequently. And they just look cool!!!  If you find that your images are bleeding or the marker is coming off of the coaster you may need to use a thicker coat of Mod Podge or a stronger sealer.

Happy Friday Bombshells!

Ms. April's Challenge

Bombshell's Ms. April, Betsie Golden, has set this month's challenge which is "Junk It!" Use junk mail, packaging, bottles, and boxes and upcycle it with your Bombshell stamps.

It is now spring and warm in my part of the country and I wanted to make something that reflects that. I used the "Hawaiian Girl" stamp set for my project. As I was going through my junk mail this page in my daughter's catalogue (she is 11 and loves clothes with animal print and anything blue, but that has nothing to do with the challenge. It is just useless information.) jumped out at me.
The colors, style and tropical feel inspired me to use this as the base of my project. Originally I was going to make a card, but I remembered that I had a junk drawer in my craft room full of cool boxes that I have collected over the years. I found a box that originally came filled with lovely chipboard. I just could not get rid of the box because I knew one day it would make a darling shadow box, so it has waited patiently for about 7 years to be used.
Between my two pieces of junk I came up with this little wall hanging using Bombshell's Hawaiian Girl set.

I am not quite sure what I am going to do with it, maybe send it out as happy mail or display it in my house.

Make sure you upload your take on the challenge and post your link in the comment section :-)
