HULLO NOT-A-BEARS!

Yesterday my parrents abandoned us an went Late-Night-Shopping fer Crismos presents. These were for Daddy's herd of nephews.

I carn't divulge much ov wat he returned home wiv, as some ov the littol blighters might log on an read this. But surffice it to say that not many Bears were adoptid. Huh! But there was a book about a Polar Bear.

I suggestid that it would be a Good Idea if they could adopt a Snowy Bear to go wiv the book, and so Mummy trawled the streets ov Colchester today, looking for wun.

She was gon hours. Yu wuddent think, it being nearly Crismos, that a Snowy Bear would be so hard to find. But then she found them all: they were all huddled together in wun shop, all pratising that great Bear Sport, Synchronized Sitting. Wun ov them agreed to leave the team, an this is the wun that came home.
We took a photo ov our Snowy Visitor, befor he sets off to Ireland, the land ov nephews. (Or most ov them). But of course I don't hav the photo to paw, as neither ov my parrents are that organized. So heer is a pikcher to whet yor appetite. Hopefully, I'll hav the real photo tomorrow.

HULLO NOT-A-BEARS!

Today it was Tuesday, a "T" day, so the Windowsill Bear Familee came off the windowsill to join in wiv all the wonderful, eggsiting whizz-bang that is the essence of my never-stand-still life. Ha! (Mummy sez I'm getting sarcastic. I must be watching too much Pocoyo.)

ENYWAY, we Bears played a rarther complicaytid game called "Squeak Teddy Squeak!". In this game we all sit in a circle and one ov us gets blindfolded. Then the blindfolded Bear has to sit on the laps ov the other Bears and tell them to make a squeaking noise. And from that, yor ment to gess wich Bear it is yor sitting on.

It's a TAD easy, wen all the Bears taking part are different sizes. And LBBBJ* kept giggling. And Grayum got all undirectional in the blindfold and wandered off into the kitchen. But hey ho. Yu hav to keep the troops entertained, yu know.

Well, Grandma Mousie, dis iz a trikky wun. But luckily fer yu I happen to no a bit abowt myce. We hav sum living under der kitchen flor. Daddy wonts to catch dem an release dem in der woods (as dey are 'wood myce') but mummy thinks dey are coot an seecretly leeves dem 6 hazelnuts in der corner each nite.

Sumtimes I hav hidden rownd der corner an wotched dem sneak out from behind der oven, grab a nut an run bak. But a few times I hav witnesst dem doin dere exersises. I pass dere rooteen on to yu:

I thort I'd tell yu a bit abowt Bear Sports. There are a few sports dat bears excel at. We don't offen partisipayte direktly in Not-A-Bear sport an wen yu look at der type ov thing yu human not-a-bears get up to it's pritty obvious why. Tayke der "Javilin" fer instance. A man in a leo-tard runs a bit, trips, den launches a big pointy stik throo der air at a few men in soots running abowt wiv tape mezzures. I havent seen anyone manage to akshually hit wun of dem yet. If yu ask me, dey shud giv it up an try sumthing yewsful like nitting scarves, fer exampol.

Like Not-a-bears, we bears vary in preferences wen it comes to wot sport we do. Some bears are good at fishing, Grizzly Bears are good at hoo-can-find-der-biggest-burger-in-der-rubbish, and Pandas are good at Extreem-meditating.

Dit iz kwite hard nowadays to find good Synchronized-Sitting trayners, as most ov der profeshonals hav now retired to Der Baharmaz. But yu can help yor local teams train by doing der following:

• Help yor own team get motivaytid by sitting dem in a row. If yu like, copy der pose dat my team is demonstrayting above.


• Try leaving yor bears in groops near der Sports Sekshon ov yor newspaper. I dowt if it will be as inspired as to include dis sport, but it will remind der bears dat dey hav a sport, too.


• Wen yu visit Bear Adopshon Centres*, yu will offen see bears hanging around on shelves. Arrange dem into organized teams ov Synchronized Sitters. Mummy always duzz dis. Apart from in der Co-op, cos dey started wotching her a bit funny.
