This is part ov the wall. It's 400 yeers old, so not as old as the tree.
Heer yu can see sum toadflax growin owt ov it.

I liket this bit. It had a low wall goin rownd an rownd the plarnts, just the rite size for a small Bear to go runnin up an down. Can yu see how the littol wall I'm standin on goze too an fro an up an down? It waz fun. Sum kids tryd to do it but it waz mine. I fownd it ferst.Thare wer lots ov theez type ov thing:

Sum ov the walks in the woods wer markt, sum wernt, yu just mayde them up as yu went along.
We cayme across this field ov ferns.
It waz like a Bear-size forrist, so I had a poo thare.
Then we fownd the piggies!
They keep them in part ov the forrist, wich is far mor fun than livin on a farm!
Yu cud see they enjoyd runnin an jumpin.
Heer's the bum foto I promist yu! Wa-hey!
Dewrin the Secund Werld War, sum forren troops wer stayshund heer,
wile waytin to go to France. Thare waz eevn a littol air field heer.
We cayme across theez old truks, wich we thort mite be left over from then:
Then we sor lots ov theez neerby. It's calld a peacock butterfly:This is Mummy havin a rest wile Daddy taykes fotoes.
Akchewlly, if yu clik on the foto an mayke it bigger,
yu mite jus see me sittin on the arm ov the bench, wayvin. On the way bak we sor sum sheep but ownly just, cos they wer hiding in the long grarss:We wer told they wer "rare breed" sheep.
Troo enuff, they dident go baaaaaaa. So maybe they wer a bit snooty.
We went parst sum mor bayby goosies,

HULLO NOT-A-BEARS!

Wen they sed we wer goin to the New Forest, I thort it wud be wun big wood, a reelly big thik dark wood. I thort that waz wat a forest was. Do yu? Well no, it issent! It's woods in sum playses, but also fields calld heathland. This meens fields that ar scruffy.

There wer also fields calld mire, wich means bogland. HAHAHAA. Peepol in the USA mite not kno but BOG is a slang nayme for a toylet! HAHAHA! BOGland! Well I thort it waz funny, anyway!

This is a bit ov BOGland. The lumps ar all mossy an bownsy. Daddy is bownsin across them. Akchewly, this is the ferst time I hav put a foto ov Daddy on the blog. As he is a teecher, he is a bit shy ov havin his pikcher on a blog, in cayse eny ov the herd ov 7 an 8 year olds he teeches see him. Hehee. Ah, don't worry Daddy, yor ownly small in this wun!

We took this pic dewrin a long walk. Heer ar sum mor pic's, from the woody part ov the walk:

Spot the Daddy:

This wun waz the biggest in the forest. It's a big Sekkoya tree, from North Amerryka. I tuk this pikcher from underneeth it. The bark issent hard like uther trees, it's soft an squidgy an warm!:Mummy liket it too:I deesydid to giv it a littol help to keep it the tallest:Heer's sum mor big wuns. Spot the Daddy agen:

Heer he is!!I fownd a nice big cone for a sooveneer. Mummy sed it waz ok to keep this wun coz all the seeds had gon. It's enormuss. I bet sum ov my doggy frends wud like to giv it a chew.We did a few big walks. On the longest we stopt fer a rest at a log an drank tea from a flarsk. That's our map in frunt ov us. Notiss Sam haz got my coat on!!!

Sum peepol preferd not to walk! I don't kno the laydy's nayme but the horsey waz calld Mulberry. I like his fluffy feet.

A few mor intrestin things...

This is a World War II bomb crater. I bet the frogs rownd heer like it.

Sum ov the trees had enormuss roots! Heer is Daddy agen. If yu dident kno the roots wer hewge, he'd be like a wee leprecorn.A New Forest robin! This berd is calld a Tree-Creeper cos he creeps rownd trees like a mowse.Just wun mor ov sum trees!
I luv walks in the woods, I do! I jus wish it had been warm enuff for us Bears to hav a piknik! As it waz, the sum waz shyny but it waz still chilly. Wen we got bak to the Bed An Brekfast playse, we all sat rownd the fire to warm our toze....

Next time I'll tell yu bowt sum speshol playses I vizitid. (Meenwile, Dilly has bloggd abowt the Reptile playse we vizited, if yu want to hav a look!)

Bye fer now!
