Brit Comics Art - latest pieces

Just some highlights from the recent update to the BritComicsArt website (which can be found here - I suggest subscribing to their e-mail updates too)...

A Brian Bolland piece from his early work on Powerman comic in the 1970s. This was £300 I think.

The A5 sized, 32 page brochure for Comics 2002 is graced with a Frank Quitely cover. Yet again Kev Sutherland put together an absolutely massive event across Bristol with over 150 writers, artists, editors, publishers and the like

Strontium Dog - journey into hell

The sole British comics highlight (but what a highlight!) from this week's Catawiki auction of original comic artwork is this Strontium Dog page from 2000AD prog 117 (page 18, 16/06/79) by Carlos Ezquerra.

At the time of typing the high bid is 405 euro's (with an estimate of 600-800 euro's). Bidding ends this Thursday (11th Jan 2024) at 7pm GMT. Good luck if you're bidding!
