Forbidden Planet have announced a signing to celebrate the release of the Tammy & Jinty special 2019 - let's see what the had to say about it...

Tammy and Jinty were two of Britain’s best-loved girls’ comics in the 1970s and ’80s - groundbreaking female-led comics that covered everything from science fiction and fantasy to romance and domestic drama.

This June, these classic titles return in the 48-page Tammy & Jinty Special, retooled for the 21st Century! A host of the finest modern creators pay tribute to this legacy of trail-blazing comics while introducing a new audience to the medium!

None other than Rob Williams (Roy of the Rovers), Jim Campbell, V V Glass (Assassin’s Creed), Emma Beeby (Mata Hari) and many more present daring girl-led tales of roller derby, archaeology, codebreaking, ballet, space adventure and more!

cover revealed for 2 new reprints of classic British comics

The covers have now been revealed (thanks Amazon!) for 2 new books from the Treasury of British Comics line...

Interesting to see that the Wildcat logo has been played around with a bit and that John Sanders has been credited as the writer.

Treasuty of British comics exhibition and new stories announced!

A quick trip to London's ace Orbital Comics saw me snag a copy of their forthcoming exhibition / events schedule...

The June exhibition sounds particularly good, fingers crossed for some fine guests to come along on opening night...

To co-incide with the exhibition comes the news that there's a new reprint volume from the treasury of British Comics line...

Out on 28 June: the first collection from the legendary Jinty! Continuing the acclaimed reprints of classic British comics from the 1970s and '80s, this luxury treasury collection features two stories from the comics phenomenon - restored and re-mastered for the first time!
