It's time for another "Just Because" card and and it was inspired by the challenge at The Shabby Tea Room and I knew it went perfectly with one of the brand new vintage images from Janet at Pink Gem Designs
The gorgeous embossed vellum border is one of my new favorite finds, I can't believe I haven't seen them before as I'm a Martha fan and am always checking out her things when I'm craft shopping.
The roses were from a fabulous trim I found that had the roses three layers thick and I simply trimmed off a single row to the length I needed, I bought a yard of it so making them single makes 3 yards and they were on sale too!
Be sure to drop back tomorrow for another cute Pink Gem card and then on Sunday it's a Pile It On creation so you will be sure to see a long challenge list ;)

OK, I promised myself I wouldn't make any "unnecessary" cards this week but once I saw the challenge at The Shabby Tearoom I knew I just had to play along.
I used a Just Rite Stampers image and sentiment that I have had for ages and never inked up, what's sad is that this style on the wooden block isn't even made anymore :(
I really love this card, the colors are so fresh and springy and it just makes me smile.
Be sure to pop back tomorrow as it is my turn for a Wee Wednesday!

It's time for a cute card just for me!
I love the sweet stamps from Lili of The Valley and although I don't have many I am trying to grow my collection :) This particular one is a super cute reminder of home to me and so was a perfect choice for my card for me this week.
I liked how easy this image made it to make a slightly shabby chic style card but I couldn't resist adding a little touch of glitter as she is a girl after all :)
I hope you enjoyed this and be back later for a very special extra Scor-Pal surprise project

This is an unusual card for me as it has No Stamping at all! Nothing to color, no markers out, not even a touch of ink!
But I've had these vintage images for so long that I really needed to come out of my comfort zone and use them.
I love the challenges over at The Shabby Tearoom and the ladies there make the fabulous samples that I spend ages just looking and wanting to make things like they do. So when I have time to base a card around their theme I like to give it a go.
So there is my version of a Shabby Chic style card, not as wonderful as many out there but I'm trying and it's always good to try new styles and techniques, it helps us grow as crafters
Have a wonderful weekend and be sure to drop back tomorrow for 2 new cards, one for Pile It On and another Christmas Card Challenges card :)
Now last week I announced that I had a new DT position at Cuddly Buddly and this week we are starting the introductions of the new Challenge Design Team Members and I'd love you to go and see them all at the Cuddly Buddly blog
We have new cards , just getting in the swing of things before the new challenges start on July 1st, and I got to work with the super sweet little Toby Tumble
I printed and colored two copies of the image. I cut out the art with Toby and the gift and popped it up on top for some extra dimension.
I'm really excited about this new team, some fabulous paper crafters, and it is setting up to be a fun Summer!

It's another Sunday and so another great challenge at Pile It On!
We are sponsored by Simon Says Stamps so it's worth playing along to see if you win!
The challenge was set by yourself truly and it is "Boys and Girls Come Out To Play!". This is a title of a very old English Nursery Rhyme and we'd love to see your creation of children having fun or maybe even something to do with games!
And as we are Pile It On we'd love to see those creations where you Piled On tons of challenges!
How cute is little Milo in the garden?
So sweet and so I colored him in soft pastels and I hope you like him.
So now go and create and come back and share with us at Pile It On!

I thought it was time to get a little Tilda out and ink her up, but which one? There are so many cute ones and choosing was hard. But when I saw the challenge at Totally Tilda I knew I was going to play and it really narrowed down my choice. I was going to use my little Spanish Tilda but then in a box of stickers I found this Eiffel Tower and so knew Paris would be my destination!
It's time for more new creations from the team at at Digital Delights!
This week I used one of the latest releases, a great set of friendly flowers with cute sentiments to match.
I decided to use a vintage style paper and go with a little Shabby Chic style of card.
I printed the flower 3 times and colored, cut and layered the image.
I inked all the edges and die cuts to give it a vintage look.
I love the look of ribbon and lace together and the gathered ribbon works wonderfully like this. I finished both the outside and in with pearls.
I hope you like this and be sure to check out the rest of the work of the design team at Digital Delights
It's Wednesday so it means another challenge over at The Pixie Cottage!
As always we have 2 parts to the challenge and you can choose either or both to play along with.
We have a fabulous sketch and our theme this week is "For Mom or a Special Lady"
Remember you can use the sketch or the optional technique or both!
The randomly picked winner will win two stamps of their choice from the Pixie Cottage Collection. The winner and the Top 3 favorites will be announced on the Friday after the challenge ends.
This background stamp is gorgeous just by itself.
I know if I had a chance to sit quietly on this porch swing then I'd grab that chance with both hands!
We hope you have a special lady in your life that needs a card and if so please link it in with us over at The Pixie Cottage!

It's Wednesday so it means another challenge here at The Pixie Cottage!
As always we have 2 parts to the challenge and you can choose either or both to play along with.
We have a fabulous sketch and our theme this week is "Stitching", you do machine, hand or even faux stitching, all work!
I decided to do a little altering this week instead of a card and so I decorated a box.
I took the hinges and lock off before covering it with paper and then added the embellishments. All the edges are inked and I used Creative Inspirations Paint in Fairy Dust for sparkle.
Card Recipe:
Image - At The Corner Of by ARTish and Tilda With Hat
Paper - - K and Co McKenna
Medium - Copic Markers
Fabric Brad - Heidi Grace
Butterfly Punch - Martha Stewart
Pearls - The Paper Studio
Trim - Hobby Lobby
Lace - Offray
Ribbon - Offray
Roses - Wild Orchid
Box - Darice
Remember you can use the sketch or the optional technique or both!
I paper pieced Tilda's dress and added paint to her wings.
I made the rosette flower and then spritzed it with Smooch Spritz in Spun Sugar, I added Spritz to the Butterflies too.
This would make a great Mother's Day gift or for a special birthday.
I hope you've enjoyed this :)

I added some Creative Inspirations Paint to his shamrocks and love how they sparkle!
I won 5 of these paints last month and love how easy they are to use. They come in cute little jars and I simply use a fine tipped paint brush and paint on in a thin layer, great finish!

Today I want to share a mini album I made.
Before I made cards I was a scrapbooker and have over 20 completed albums made over the years.
But I also liked to dabble in mini albums and altering items and I think that is where the transition into card making started.
Every now and again I like to take a break from cards and go back to playing with books :)
This is one I made this week.
As it has a lot in it there will be many photos but I hope you like it.
Also because of all the work I thought I'd enter it in a few challenges too ;)

Paper Flowers - Prima
